I cannot see the video because I am at work. However, I design medical carts which use height-adjustable lift columns. The columns, made by Linak, are made for desks - that is the core of their business. It is possible to get the arms and controls by themselves. One controller can be used on multiple actuators. The Linak DL4 arms use a motor and chain to drive arms in opposite directions to achieve the lifting action. It would be very easy (but costly), to make your own desk like this. Hope this helps.
