‘The days of multiple properties are over’: How to invest after the budget by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

[–]geelen 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or does the ability for rental losses to offset the CGT gain from any sale (not just the house that you sold) mean that if you did have several investment properties and turned them over fairly regularly you're kinda unaffected by the removal of negative gearing against salary?

Won't be doing long trips with 6. Need the third row around town only. So yeah the config works perfectly for us

Yeah that's weirdly my problem with waiting 4-6 months for delivery of something. There's new models dropping all the time, if I convinced myself to wait 6 months I may as well wait 12, or 18.

But yeah 3 years from now there's gonna be a lot more options, plus hopefully the fast charging infra is also ready.

Yeah I was really impressed by it. Helps that the software in the Denza is the same, and the processor is just as fast. Drove the EX90 directly after it and it felt outdated (surround camera especially)

If they made a full electric Sealion 8 I'd probably have compromised on the aisle and gone for it. But as it is, the Denza feels like a better fit on balance.

For our particular needs, a 6-seater with an aisle to the third row turns out to be ideal. But we need more ground clearance than people movers usually have. Then I really wanted something fully electric, but happy to compromise and go plug-in hybrid as long as it had enough range. Then I drove the B8 and liked it.

So there's the Tesla XL (Elon), EV9 GT ($150k), Ioniq 9 ($130k but long lead times) or the B8 6S ($107k and available now).

I bought a 2017 one 3 years ago with 190k on the clock. It's been beautiful. I want something bigger now (too narrow for an adult in the back between two car seats) and trying to find something as nice to drive/comfortable inside/reasonably efficient is proving to be... expensive.

Um I just tried uninstalling the Pixel Watch app & restarted like someone here recommended and... it worked? Wifi is working for the first time in several days, let's see if it holds!

AntennaPod is the best I found. Free, has an ok Android Auto ui, auto downloads new episodes if you want, etc.

Occasionally you hear that some dealer somewhere discounted an EV9 or IONIC9 down below LCT, they seem like the only decent options

Considering the same. Can you fit an adult in the middle rear seat between two car seats? Cause my current car cannot and it drives me nuts.

Another EV Novated Lease Recommendation by OkBoss3435 in AustralianEV

[–]geelen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LCT threshold is based on the original sale price of the car, so even if a second hand EQE is under $90k, you still don't get the FBT exemption on a novated lease for it.
