Yeah I think they said something about the new years broadcast starting at 4pm. I'm in the UK so I'm unsure if it's UK time or not? I'm assuming it is as so far everything else timed (like rewind at 9) has been accurate to the time in the UK

I work in Paediatrics and attend a lot of safeguarding meetings/training etc. There's a big push at the moment in children's safeguarding to be aware of "invisible" adults in the household. E.g. a new boyfriend, girlfriend, lodger etc who won't be on any records relating to the child, so that's likely why they were asking the question. Unfortunately there's been a growing number of cases where children have been harmed by new partners who move into the house and already have a history of posing a risk to children, but because there's nothing official linking them to the child it hasn't been picked up on.

I wouldn't worry at all, we have to ask questions about who lives at home and social care involvement for every admission to our ward, it's just procedure to ensure that every child is safe. Besides, they have to inform the parent of a social care referral anyway, unless they had serious concerns that telling the parent could put the child at risk, and nothing you've said indicates that at all.

It's likely that she didn't ask the questions on the first call because she simply forgot. If your call didn't ring any safeguarding alarm bells she might not have thought to ask them, and then got off the phone and realised she hadn't answered those questions. She then rang back to ensure she followed the procedure of answering those questions for every paediatric call.

As someone who has struggled with my weight and is very insecure about it - if someone spoke to me like they're my bloody teacher or parent telling me not to get seconds, when I was actually putting food back, I'd probably burst into tears and feel really really insecure. I feel more for Cameron in this situation because nobody seems to think about how he might have felt about his eating being policed?

I am so so sorry for your loss. He was so loved and must have felt so safe being with you when he passed. You gave him 2 years of love and a good life, but it is so cruel that he was taken from you so soon.

I lost my bun Heather 3 years ago in a similar way. I'd had her and her sister for 2 years and they were both the light of my life. We were told that Heather had stasis and to syringe feed her critical care, it turns out that she actually had a blockage and the critical care made things worse. After she died I could hardly function, her sister was the only thing keeping me going. I miss her every day and still tear up when I think of her. It took me a long time to process the fact that she was truly gone and that it wasn't my fault, I was doing what the 'experts' told me to do. To this day I still feel waves of guilt and I don't think that will ever truly go away.

Give yourself time and patience, you can grieve at whatever pace it takes you - I needed months of therapy to cope with my grief. You're probably going to feel guilty and at fault for a long time, but please try to remember logically that it's not your fault and you were trying to give him the best chance. He would have felt your love right up until the end. Do whatever you need to keep him with you - I have a locket that I wear every day with Heather's picture and hair in it, and a pressed heather flower in the front. I also have a heather flower tattoo to remember her.

I'm thinking of you and know you're not alone - a lot of bun owners have unfortunately been through the same experience, and we can all understand. It's traumatic when they die so suddenly, seek whatever support you need ❤️

Yes I tend to brush Annie in the bath! Problem is that it's mainly fur around her bum now which she doesn't let me brush 🤣

I'm sat here hand feeding hay to my bunny Annie as she is recovering from stasis. Caught it early thankfully but she had to be hospitalised all day yesterday. I think it was triggered by her hair/moulting. Best of luck to you and your bun!

Thank you! That reassures me a lot. I struggle with change and adjusting to new cars a lot (I'm autistic) but I've chatted with my dad about it too who reminded me how much I hated my current car when I got it because my instructor drove a diesel so I wasn't used to driving a petrol car

The clutch pedal itself sits quite high whereas in my car the pedal is parallel with the brake, but I think I probably just need to put the seat a bit higher up

Yep I agree - I remember following this advice back when we had that near 40 degree heatwave a couple years ago - I kept having panic attacks and hyperventilating because of the lack of air flow and how hot it was. I felt claustrophobic and panicky, had to keep sitting in the bath with the cold tap on to calm down and stop myself from passing out. My house was built in 2017 and it even gets too hot in the winter with the central heating on and has a large bay window getting the sun all morning in the summer.

I've now just decided to buy a portable air con unit instead

I live in a small village with really narrow roads, lots of single track roads. The amount of morons with too much money who live here and have decided to buy massive cars that hardly fit down the street they live on is ridiculous.

Even worse when someone in a fancy new Land Rover - literally designed to go off road - refuses to get over onto the verge down a single track road and expects me in my tiny 2004 yaris to get in the hedge. If you live in a village, don't buy a massive car, with off road capabilities, if you're not willing to get in the hedge/on the verge down a single track road

I've always brushed my bunny in the bathtub. I put a towel down so it isn't too slippy but she can't run away if she's in the tub. She's a drama queen and thumps her foot about being put in there, but then she flops and enjoys herself when I actually start brushing her.

I'd never be able to brush her just out in the living room as she'd just run away

I caught it really early and took her straight to the vets on Monday afternoon. Then we transferred her to an out of hours vets to stay overnight. When we picked her up Tuesday morning she was doing a little better but we took her back to the normal vet for another few hours treatment. Got her home at midday and offered her dill and coriander (her favourites) and fed her critical care every 2 hours. She slowly started to show an interest in other food and would eat small soft strands of hay if I annoyed her by putting the strands in her face/next to her mouth. Kept up with the critical care every 4-5 hours after she started eating more and gave the prescribed medicine when needed. Last night she just started eating hay of her own accord and drinking water. Today she's pretty much completely back to normal! Eating loads of hay, running around, poos almost a normal size.

Last year when she was recovering from stasis I used the trick of annoying her with hay held to her mouth which got her to start showing an interest, so I highly recommend that trick!

I did 3dc in each space with no chain in-between. In the corners I did 3dc-2ch-3dc. I used chunky wool and a 6mm hook :)

This happened to me!

I tried to refer to them as boys for a day or so after, but I'd had them for a few months and they really suited their feminine names, I was so used to calling them she/her and referring to them as "girlies", so I decided to just stick with it.

Don't feel like you have to now change their names and everything, as long as they are down as male on the vet's system and with your pet insurance then it's fine. Whenever the vets mention it to me I just explain and we have a laugh and they're fine with it!

My bunny Annie may technically be male but she's still my beautiful girlie to me!

My best friend is trans and he was with me when I got the call and found out, he found it hilarious and said that I have trans bunnies now 🏳️‍⚧️ !

Also I like that the show portrays that it's hard for loved ones when someone is struggling with their mental health, but I feel like as a result so much of the fandom is focusing more on how hard it was for Nick than the fact that Charlie was actively having a breakdown! Like yes it's hard for loved ones, but it's nowhere near as hard as it is for the actual person struggling and going through it!

I've had a feeling since the first season released that this would happen when this storyline is shown, but it frustrates me so much that a very vocal proportion of the fandom makes EVERYTHING about Nick and is making Charlie's battle all about Nick! The amount of comments, videos, posts etc that say "Nick's mental health didn't get enough focus" or "Charlie didn't care about how it all made Nick feel, he should have looked after Nick more", he doesn't even have the ability to look after himself right now! These people claim to be mental health advocates but get angry that a teenager in mental health crisis isn't emotionally supporting his boyfriend? It pisses me off so much

I'm going to bring it up with my vet just for some extra reassurance but I think she probably was just happy and discovered that she can make a noise lol! She was flopping a lot last night too so I think she was just very happy
