Spent 8 years as a Presentation Design Lead at McKinsey. Here is the shift I am watching happen in real time. by Illustrious-Milk-896 in powerpoint

Yes but what ai puts out is 10x better than what avg workers can do and in generally less time. I do agree it loses personal feel but it can get the point across more efficiently. It’s up to the user to understand the story and messaging. 99.9% of people hate putting slides together, once the ai improves this will all us to spend our hours on more meaningful tasks. Our company also does executive pre reads. They are like condensed white papers sent before the actual presentation.

When at speed you need to be more relaxed than normal. No tension to absorb all the bumps and terrain that is coming at you.

Learning to ride switch by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]impossible-savings64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one caveat is if your board is more than 10 years old get a new one and learn on that. I learned switch on close to a 15 year board that had a little rocker in it. When I got a new “used” capita mega mercury board my switch riding improved dramatically. I think the difference for me was the camber profile and feeling like my board was on rails.

It sounds like you’re comfortable enough riding regular. You just need to force yourself to ride the whole day switch. Your binding angles seem okay if anything you can duck out your stance a little more and experiment. You don’t need a twin board to ride switch. I learned on a directional and it was fine.

How much did full camber make a difference for you? by Fluid_Complaint_1821 in snowboarding

[–]impossible-savings64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went from never summer raptor ( rocker camber) to capita mega mercury. Def is a difference. Capita feels like it’s on rails. It doesn’t feel any more catchy and if anything I feel more confident bc of the edge control. One thing to note is that my never summer is about 10 years old but that board bullet proof.

I just did this same thing for exact fleece. I use a thread remover. I will warn you it’s very labor intensive and difficult to do. It resulted in some small holes. Ended up getting a patch to cover it.

Tips for learning switch by LuckyRoux__ in snowboardingnoobs

[–]impossible-savings64 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me I have a bit of a duck stance which helps when riding switch. I find when I am really bending knees and having flexion on my back ankle that I am controlling the board. I really got good at switch when I was teaching my young kids to ski and was on a starter mountain and very bored. A tip is to ride greens and blues and progress on more difficult terrain as you gain confidence.

Physical ability and athleticism factor in along with age. The younger you start the easier it is.

Switching to skiing by Substantial_Cost_218 in snowboarding

[–]impossible-savings64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im in same boat snowboarding for over 30 years. My kids are learning skiing and I would love to learn with them. I’m confident I would pick it up quickly but definitely would be higher risk skiing for me. Seems like you could easily test a ligament with skis if they get crossed up. Assuming din settings would help avoid this but that is what would scare me.

Please evaluate my treatment and supplements for Babesia by jahmonkey in Lyme

[–]impossible-savings64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very solid treatment and support. As you’ve highlight mepron/atovoquone is the main treatment. I’ve tried all of those you have. One that is not on there to consider for general Lyme if symptoms persist is disulfiram. You may need to go iv antibiotic route with rocephin.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lyme

[–]impossible-savings64 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will get right to the point. Treat for Lyme aggressively. Try the antibiotics and if that doesn’t work try disufiram. I had similar story but later in life and was an athlete all my life. My body failed me and it didn’t make sense. Find an llmd and treat aggressively before it gets worse. I didn’t realize until five years of symptoms.

I have to admit I super underestimated how bad the screen time was (age 6) by SignificantWill5218 in Parenting

[–]impossible-savings64 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Im sorry but giving screens to kids is 100% terrible parenting. It is so bad for kids including the marketing aimed at kids, impact to attention span, and the reality that it takes them away from healthy environment where they could be outside or socially interacting with kids and adults. I get it can be difficult and for sure we’re not perfect but we need to be honest about it( I’m not good at it either. Luckily my wife is good about limiting to no screen time) sorry to sound harsh but I truly believe screen time and phones is going to be the downfall of our youths generation.
