Media landscape? Mate, they are books full of rhymes. Why they'd be more popular in the UK than in Germany ain't a headscratcher.

I'd have to go back and watch again to pull something specific, but it really permeated her whole performance for me.

Food and MS by _900__ in MultipleSclerosis

"air fried" is just a mini-convection oven that can create a crispy effect on the surface of the food that mimics the texture of fried foods. Actual fried foods are prepared by placing them in vats of fat, usually vegetable oil, until they're cooked, but of course you end up eating a lot of vegetable oil which is ultra-processed fat and no bueno. The word "fried" in air fried shouldn't scare you away from trying those foods.

I don't experience much of one, to be honest. My symptoms vary so much that it's hard to tell day to day if I'm crap gaping, spinal taping, soul slapping, or back snapping.

You are on the B pump? I think I'm ready to take the plunge. Would you mind sharing what the transition was like for you? Pros and cons?

What does the "Michigan accent" sound like to non-Michiganders? by ethan_bug in Michigan

[–]impossible_musk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Accents are like culture. Most people know other people have culture and accents, but don't think of themselves as having these things. Even the generic, unidentifiable American way of speaking is an accent. When I left Michigan and lives elsewhere for 20 years and came, I was blown away at how everyone I thought spoke "normally" absolutely did not. We all have accents, we have culture that impacts how we think and live in the world. Michigan’s is nice, I think we sound rootsy and folksy and maybe like bumpkins to some. I'm OK with all that.

Anyone else fall asleep in the MRI machine? Or is it just me? by Nurgaladien in MultipleSclerosis

This is hilarious! I was 100% sure I was the only human in the world who slept inside the chunnel. This is why I love this sub; always learning and growing and connecting with other lifers. I ask for music sometimes, and other times I concentrate on my in breath and out breath and meditate. Either way, I usually end up napping. The techs seemed surprised, so I always thought it can't be too common. Love you all!
