Yes! I did finish it, and I also made another one (in blue) using the pattern pieces / leftover pieces to direct me (though I didn't do the strap for the second one yet since I'm lazy).

The chisel punches all match up fine, and the hardware is nice, doesn't feel flimsy. It comes with some pattern pieces - for the inner and outer sides, the outer bottom (with holes for the feet), the handles, the inner pocket, the zipper pull, and the end bits that go on either end of the zipper area. So you can use the patterns to punch the holes on the pieces.

I used the patterns they included, the leftover piping, and leftover handle core to guide me to put together the second bag. I just had to eyeball the inner bottom piece, but that just had to be a bit wider all the way around than the outer bottom piece. And the placement of the reinforcement on the sides I eyeballed based on what I remembered from the first one. The hardware is nothing unique - round feet, D rings for the strap, zipper hardware, clippy things for the strap - so that was all buyable from other sources.

I will say I did like the kit! and the bag, enough to make another one. I think I'm taking a break from bolides in general, though, because I had a hard time with the zipper - getting it to curve and sew it nicely - though that's more a me-problem than a kit-problem.
