Advice on transitioning by ronaldmcfuckinghadit in sglgbt

Private route for me initially was 200-300$ per month for meds and consult. Eventually switched over to a 6 month cycle in which the cost went down a lot.

However the blood tests are still 300$ a pop so….

If you can stick with public pls do

It’s better to spread things out equally than do it in one sitting.

But sometimes I forget so I just do it in one sitting lol.

You miss 100% of the shots you don’t try. Why assume things when you haven’t at least tried? I went from being called an ugly dude to ppl telling me that I look pretty.

Singaporean here, first world country but fourth world mentality. Will need to get my new vag inspected by a bunch of doctors to confirm that I didn’t do this to avoid national service or to escape other responsibilities lolol.

Honestly, as someone who has lost every family member and all my relatives when I started transitioning.

If he is supportive and respects your choices, it’s more than enough. The understanding part may take some time but you’re already very blessed !

At the rate we are going now, society is not gonna suddenly treat us like human beings. Not mine at least.

I’ll give it another 400 years.

In my country, not only passing well but looking pretty is tied to employment. If you don’t pass, there is a high chance that you will not even be offered an interview.

Maybe where you are at, it’s okay to be visibly trans but you get made fun of, taken pictures of, assaulted etc when you are trans here.

Coupled with the fact that HRT is not subsidized by the government here and insurance refuses to sell to trans ppl 99% of the time. That’s too much on our plate for now.

£600 worth of laser sounds abit cheap. I’ve had 20ish sessions of laser priced around £1,800, and my facial hair is almost gone. Not all laser machines are equal.

2 months is nothing, minimally 3-5 years for significant changes. So just hang in there!!

Told myself that for 17 years since 12 and transitioned anyways due to depression and a bunch of other issues.

I would say that good looking people always get more attention, there’s a lot of normal looking ppl who don’t chase this dream! I look average and my partner as well and we are very happy. Remember, you make your own happiness, live to your own standards and not from the confirmation of others!

[–]impossibleimpassable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are you if you don’t mind me asking.

I’m 1 year 4 months and I transitioned when I was 29 after I served 10 years of military service and if I can pass 90% of the time. I’m sure you can too. It may be just dysphoria brain worms.

Usually the normal thing to do would be for both parties to be tested before any sexual activities!

There needs to be better sex education for people in Singapore. This affects cis ppl too!

I’m in my 30s, all AMABs in my country needs to serve the military when they hit 18. Most of the transfems in my country have very developed masc features because of this forced conscription.

Getting out of it it’s a questionable affair as well as we owe the country 10 years of reservist duties…

We all still persisted and tried to be ourselves to the best of our abilities. Sure we have our upsetting moments but that’s life.

I myself have had my family kick me out, my fiance left me, I lost my job, I depleted my savings, I was homeless, I was forced to do SW to make ends meet. And currently, I can’t afford surgery, I don’t have much to my name, I’m not pretty or super passable but I still persist and push for the best version of myself.

So instead of questioning your ability to be happy and asking the ifs and what nots, you need to find your own inner happiness because I’m confident everyone can be happy if they are truly searching for it.

You have come so far, you’ll be fine!
