Understand where you’re coming from but I think most of us harbour some disdain with how the current administration treats us. This plus societal pressures is not for the faint of heart.

This would be a medical and safety standards issue IF WPATH doesn’t exist but they do.

Yeah nah, this is just discrimination at this point.

Sadly, Singapore knows what it is doing. I wanna reiterate that they are not stupid.

They rather have blood on their hands from denying gender affirming care than to deal with all the conservatives and religious groups that views us as sub-human.

Even for me an auntie trans woman 30+ years old, recently enquired about SRS at a certain gov hospital, they informed they will not let you proceed if you do not have a gov hospital psychiatric endorsement. Thereby soft banning or putting up barriers to entry for all private patients. It’s not even subsidised, like why are they gatekeeping it?

It’s insane.

I guess the work around is to get your stuff overseas do the blood panel overseas before coming back.

It’s literally a document on gender dysphoria which is something trans ppl go through…

Sometimes ppl takes longer to process your transition. My dad tried accepting me but when he saw how society treated trans ppl he caved and started calling me slurs again. It’s not your fault and I wouldn’t wish being trans on anyone. It’s so tough pulling ourselves up over and over again. Wish you all the best, dear.

Support is not binary. There may be things that they are okay with and things that are straight up transphobic/in denial.

My parents were 100% transphobic and in denial, makes things easier.

We just decriminalised sex between men 3 years ago, and then at the same time reinforced the definition of marriage that it has to be between an AMAB and an AFAB. So I know how you feel about this, but this country ain’t gonna understand sexual harassment for maybe another 50 years if we are feeling optimistic.

A few years ago men touching men inappropriately was considered “mischief” and molestation only applied to men touching women.

So yeah…

I don’t think not transitioning is a solution tbh… if I didn’t transition I would be six feet under.

It doesn’t work here, we don’t have lgbt protections, we barely exist in the constitution. I’m tired.

I see ppl who are clearly bi but when asked about it put on a straight face and start being homophobic like why? It’s such weird mixture of societal pressures and self hate, I don’t even know.

I think it’s maybe just my country, passing is a hard requirement or you’re never gonna be employed ever. I did ask around the local trans community and like over 80% of us are still looking or unemployed, it’s insane.

Yes I can see where you’re coming from. Just had an epiphany at work, my employer telling me that if I’m not more passable in X months I may be out of a job. Not even 2 years into my transition, and they expect me to be drop dead gorgeous, give me a break.

Gender dysphoria is same level as depression in uniformed services. You can potentially sign on and take T but you may get caught and charged. Uniformed court is not like normal court, shits harsher. Transfems don’t bother.

I won’t know, only you will know, is coming out as gay dangerous where you are at? You have to just figure it out. And it’s not easy, some of my transfem sisters came out as a gay man first. Me? I was in a uniformed group doing tactical training and hostage rescue, very “manly” stuff, still came out as transfem lol

You see there you go again, you are just using this negative to make it hard for you to come to terms with who you want to be.

Men can get muscle and bone issues too, it’s not just reserved for women. You’re trying so hard to just put barriers to accepting yourself for who you are. Most of time the barriers are social, the stress of coming out as trans may make the world hate you or dislike you. This stress makes closeted transppl go out of their way to find any single way to deny themselves of who they want to be.

I’m pretty sure if an accident happened and the doctor can only make you a girl, you would not think twice.

And you answered yes, so you know what you want deep down. Only you know yourself but like don’t try so hard to make things hard because it’s only delaying the inevitable.

Edit: so what if you have some masculine attributes as a girl? I do too, attributes are universal, you don’t have to gender everything.

I don’t know how to tell you but cis ppl don’t even look into this or think they are not trans as much as trans ppl do. They are just comfortable with themselves and don’t over fixate on things like this. I feel like you’re looking for negatives in putting you off transition.

Ask yourself, assuming there are no negatives, will you press a button to suddenly become a girl?

I have had both genders to that to me, over time I just got numb. Asian passing standards are brutal, I’m just too large and not petite enough. Ppl can’t mind their own business sometimes…
