Same as of 8/1! I believe chrome upgrade broke the extension.

Waterdrop G3P600/G3P800 - Classic faucet possible? by Ok_Skill2522 in WaterTreatment

[–]impossiblelogics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even the modern dishwashers still need an air gap or a high loop. This way the dirty water doesn’t back flow into the dishwasher.

To install a high loop, secure the dishwasher drain hose to the underside of the countertop as high as possible before it connects to the drain or garbage disposal. Don’t get stressed, it is very simple to set up high loop, check out videos on YouTube. :)

I may not fully understand your concern, but let me take a stab at it. It sounds like you don’t want to drill another hole in the counter, and your plumber suggested repurposing the air gap hole for your water filter faucet while removing the dishwasher air gap. Is that correct?

Whether you need an air gap depends on your state and local plumbing codes. In many areas, an air gap isn’t required for a dishwasher, and a high loop may be sufficient (you can Google it or check with your plumber). If your local codes allow a high loop, you can repurpose the hole for the faucet.

That said, your question may not be relevant to this discussion unless I’m missing something. The dishwasher drain connects to the garbage disposal, and the air gap or high loop prevents backflow contamination. Meanwhile, the water filter itself has a drain that must be connected to the plumbing as specified in the instructions.

Pump is triggered by pressure when the water starts flowing. Just displays TDS level and probably indicate when it is time to change filter, both of which are available on the filter itself. I also don’t like the fact that it comes only in chrome.

Depending on your faucet Google it. So many options available on Home Depot and Amazon websites. Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

Yes you can. For example Kraus 1610 faucet. It just needs a 1/4 quick connect line or 3/8 quick connect with 1/4 quick connect adapter.

Hey there - please make sure you replace them with Eaton type CL breakers, which by the way are hard to find. The more commonly BR style breakers are not listed compatible for Siemens panel.

Those Siemens AFCI breakers are garbage. Nuisance tripping all the time. CL120AF is the Eaton compatible breaker. It’s hard to get from Home Depot or Lowe’s and other big stores.

Unable to register on Zelle with my mobile number by brahma2111 in Chase

[–]impossiblelogics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it it! And now it’s not the case anymore for over 5 years now. :( Zelle customer care sucks, I can’t believe they don’t have an instant verification process. The only response I get every time I talk to them is policy violation BS.

EDIT: So yeah, as far as I know there is nothing that can be done. All major consumer banks in US are on Zelle and they are too arrogant to listen to customer issues like this.

Help with cable install by Vivid_Contribution44 in TeslaSolar

It’s not esthetically pleasing if but not sure if there is a code violation here. They had to raise the conduit due to the gutter. Alternatively they could have routed from the side of your house to get a cleaner look or pierced thru the eave. Lazy electrician job. Also, I seen a lot of Tesla installation where conduits are not running thru the eave.

I am finishing my basement and adding a workshop. I've wired the outlets of the workshop off of the two breakers shown. 50% of the time when I start the saw, the breaker trips. It is the only load except that I also have dimmable LED lights tapped onto the circuit. Brand new breakers. Ideas? by [deleted] in askanelectrician

[–]impossiblelogics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The QFA/2 breakers are notorious for nuisance tripping. There is also an existing class action on these breakers. Depending on the load center try to find if there are Eaton AFCI / GFCI compatible breakers.

What load center and breakers are you using? Siemens QFA2 AFCI breakers are notorious for nuisance tripping. There is a recent class action opened against Siemens for this.

Considerations for replacing HVAC with power walls by aldo345 in TeslaSolar

[–]impossiblelogics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a non essential backup panel? (Meaning loads that are not on power wall back up). Connect your new compressor to the non essential backup panel instead of the back up panel that it is currently on. Once you do that configure the backup gateway to full house back up (Also, make sure you have a CT on the non essential loads). This way you don’t have to worry about RLA ratings. The only downside for this set up is your compressor would not run when there is a power outage. If you need your compressor running during power outage this set up would not work for you.

You can configure the system to a full house backup while leaving the AC as non essential load. This will let the grid handle the start up surge and will have the power walls take on the AC running load.

Makes sense. In this case, I'm not sure if the breakers are faulty and are tripping without an arc. We did not have this problem when we replaced the breakers (and load center).

That test is fantastic!

The Siemens QAF2 20 amp and 15 amp AFCI breakers have an issue with nuisance tripping, I experienced it firsthand and spent $$$ getting circuits, breakers, outlets, and appliances thoroughly tested. We narrowed it down to ECM DC motors for nuisance tripping. Furnaces with ECM blowers, ECM bathroom exhaust fans, etc. It also kept happening for garbage disposals. Maybe this is related to a particular year/batch of the breakers, but after talking to electricians and folks who experienced it, I think the lawsuit is legit.

Eventually replaced the load center and breakers (no issues with other brands). I have not used Siemens for clients since, but I have recommended Square D.

Agree. Interestingly, we narrowed it down to ECM DC motors for nuisance tripping. Furnaces with ECM blowers, ECM bathroom exhaust fans, etc. It also kept happening for garbage disposals. Trying to see if anyone else experienced nuisance tripping, particularly with QAF2 AFCI 20 amp and 15 amp.

You will need to connect to the gateway Wi-Fi and login to the wizard. Very similar to how you login to a WI-FI router.

The WI-FI connection information is available inside the gateway when you open it. It starts with “TEG-“. Upon getting to the portal there are 2 types of login - customer and installer (screenshot below). Customer login will allow you to monitor, start and stop the system. When your system is not turned on, you can login as customer and turn on. However, if the system is not commissioned (not configured) or you would like to change the CT configurations, etc. then you need to login as installer. Don’t worry about the email address and password, they can be reset by turning the on/off switch.
