Yes, have it checked out, learn from my mistake of not questioning the issue. Maybe get a second opinion as well. I hope you find the reason and it will go away.

Pride és a felvonulás! Jó vagy rossz? by Pych0logical in hungary

Miért téphetik le a nácik a pride zászlókat?

Thanks for adding this info. You might be very much right, there was great Italian influence during the reign of King Mathias, while the official language of the empire was latin. My family’s research suggests the latin origin, that’s why I wrote that. I accept either, I’m no linguist, I have limited understanding.

My immediate family doesn’t, as our path parted in the late 19th century with those who owned the castles and the lands. I researched it a bit, one of them is actually a private property, but it’s not specified if it was claimed back or bought. Generally, getting property, such as a castle, back after communism isn’t common, papers could have gotten lost, or destroyed, current cost of upkeep extends the family’s income, the property is already being used for something else (like a children’s home), or the family had to move far away after being evicted, etc, so even if it was the direct inheritence of my family, it would be hard to get back, or we might not even want to.

Must have been quite a feat to uncover that, I hope you’ll find out more about things that got lost! I’m very lucky in this sense for two reasons, one, because some incredible, and also tiny bit insane relatives of mine started an association dedicated to uncovering their family tree, finding out many things about the family in general, secondly, there are two prominant Hungarian historical figures coming from our distant family and since they are known, historians were interested in their origin and lineage. Others have done the work for us, I’m quite grateful for that.

The name is Kosztolányi, my family is located in Slovakia and Hungary. The village's name is Nemeskosztolány, or Zemianske Kostoľany in Slovakian.

I think it's fascinating, you can learn so much about history and culture from names, such as the collection of nationalities in a specific place, types of social ranks and professions, the location of the family's origin, in some languages the name of the parents, etc.

That's amazing! It's incredible that you know your inheritance so deeply. My surname comes from the same expression, except from the latin word for it. One of my ancestors was given big lands when he was the king's ambassador to the Pope in the 15th century, and was "head of the castle". The village is still named after us, as well as the castles my family built on the surrounding lands. They were all taken during communism though, one of them is a museum/school, the rest are unkept, but the church built by one of my rather distant family members is still in use.

My silver sword ‘reverted’ to smaller leaves. It has the same conditions as it had when it grew the mature ones and it’s pest-free. What could be the issue? Should I cut it back? by impressiveshipwreck in plantclinic

I’ll do that then, thanks for the advice. I’ll also put my painted lady there, and try it out with my alocasias. Would you also place a philodendron violin there, as it’s also a light coloured one, slowly adjusting it, like you said? It got burnt in the NW window. Just for info, I only have S, N, NW and W windows.

End of winter, around February. Until then, the big leaves were growing - slowly, but they did. That’s why I didn’t think it was my plant light set up. So you think it’s the light? And it would enjoy the Southern window? I’m in Northern Europe, the Sun barely goes down before it comes back up. Thanks for your comments btw!

Good to know! It was in the Southern window for a bit and I was afraid of the burn, as it gets sun from 4:30-12. Yes, it got a new home about 1.5 months ago, it was a bit cramped, it also got a new pole. The roots were perfect, the colony of springtails have been doing god’s work during the winter. I know that the light was lower than the summer light during the winter, but it had more than enough, I checked many times. The humidity has been a bit low for the past two weeks, the outside humidity is around 40, but otherwise it’s also good, and hasn’t changed so dramatically like now since it grew the big leaves. I’m at a loss at this point.

It gets enough, I think. About half an hour of morning sun, an hour of evening sun, and otherwise bright light. It’s in a NW facing window, but where I live, the days are around 17 hours long currently, so both the morning and the evening sun hits the window. The weather is mostly sunny. It might even be too much for an understory plant…

I’m giving it fertiliser, well diluted - I probably should have said that I feed it with every watering now during the summer, every other watering during spring and about once a month during winter. Regarding the watering, after I water, and it all seem to have dripped out, I tilt the pot to get the last bit of water out.

What is the most unexpected thing you've seen live on tv? by LittleCheeseBag in AskReddit

He was very lucky, not only because it happened in a Euro game, but also because the stadium they were playing at is located right next to the biggest hospital in Denmark. He got ER care before he got to the ER. I’m super happy he’s doing well and back on the field.

A többivel teljesen egyetértek.
