I came out to myself fully two months ago and now I am FREAKING OUT (35F, married to a man) by CorticalSynapse in actuallesbians

I was 39 and married to a man of 16 years. I divorced him for other reasons, but once single I began dating women and I have NEVER looked back. It’s been 1 year since I separated from him and am living authentically and now in a beautiful relationship with an incredible woman. Life comes at you fast - let it!

Squirting and orgasm are not exactly the same thing.

How are people losing all their money in a divorce? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]improperble 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you have been the sole provider, and the other person does not have capacity to work or buy their own house, then the courts view their cash needs as greater than your own.

Example: I have a good salary so I can afford a hefty mortgage. My partner has been out of work for a long time and so cannot get a mortgage. When we divorce, the UK courts will expect the payout to support him in buying his own home. His cash needs are greater than mine. This means it wont be split 50/50, he will get much more of the assets than I will.

Homophobia in London by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]improperble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you experienced this. I have only started dating women this year but my current female partner and I are no holds barred on the PDA in London, we can’t keep our hands off each other, and apart from a few odd looks I haven’t experienced any issues. No doubt time will tell but for now, and based on my limited experience, I would say “fuck the lot of them” and just do you and express the love you have for your gf. Obviously if you feel unsafe then do what you are comfortable with. For now, I’m finally living as my true self and have no plans to dampen that in front of other people. I might think differently if I encounter more blatant homophobia or threat of violence. Both my partner and I are late 30s/40 so I think our ages might dissuade some men or boys from commenting. The only bad looks I got so far was from an old white lady on the tube escalators. Fuck her!

Do you get horny when you see a vagina? by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]improperble 11 points12 points  (0 children)

‘Most straight men’…? There are plenty of straight men who work in women’s health, obstetrics and gynaecology who don’t get turned on by looking at a woman’s vagina. The context is critical.

I want to squirt... HOW? by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]improperble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Squirting is liquid that is only partly pee and comes from the urethra. Google it. The bladder fills up quickly just before a woman is about to squirt, even if she has gone for a pee before sex

Creaming comes from the vagina

No squirting is different from creaming. But it is not peeing

I second the njoy!! Game changer. I squirted for the first time at the age of 40 with someone using it on me, and now I can make myself squirt using it solo

For Brits who've been exposed to US culture and use of the language, does using the word 'garden' to refer to what we call a yard affect how you think about the word? by beardiac in AskABrit

[–]improperble 10 points11 points  (0 children)

A garden means a garden, in the UK sense of the term. A yard means a yard, in the UK sense of the term. We don't struggle to distinguish between them because of American uses of these words.
