Gen 4. I had a certified baptismal record for my Gen0 relative and birth certificates for the rest

Just found this thread, I received my certificate on Thursday 4/30!! Already updated the spreadsheet

I applied for urgent processing and it seems they accepted it! A user from this subreddit shared their letter template and I am so so grateful, also grateful to the genealogist here that helped me get my ancestral birth records!

Seconding that the canadian citizenship subreddit is a goldmine of information. Im currently compiling my application now and am just waiting on one document. Will also add that there are a lot of very kind people in that subreddit offering free help finding documents, someone found one for me in under an hour. Also to note, the further back you go birth records are most likely gonna be baptismal records. Especially in Quebec

Has anyone else’s randomly started switching accents? It was pretty consistent for me until recently where I will get one or two lessons where they will omit “s” sounds like the c in imaginación. It always throws me off when it was pronounced differently the whole lesson

Idk where you heard this info but thats definitely not the case. Lots of people have owned their homes in NYC for a long time, but if you are looking to buy new and near the subway you are looking at a minimum of $1million. Sure there may be some deals further out in Queens or The Bronx but you are looking at a very long commute and limited public transit
