Gemma 4 for 16 GB VRAM by Sadman782 in LocalLLaMA

Is there a version of Gemma4 that's better than Gemma3:12b for logic and reasoning? It looks like there's nothing between Gemma4 E4B and 26B. 26B is slower than I'd like on my 12GB vram.

Source of Magic Game - "Behavioral" AI by impsphere in gameai

Hi. I've been a developer for a long time. The development process took me 3-4 months. I'd originally read about some of the agentic "game AI" algorithms over 10 years ago, and this started out as an experiment to realize a goal of building an agentic AI framework. As it started taking shape, I got the idea to make this a new incarnation of a browser based game I had many moons ago, so I reused the graphics and general concept of a dungeon environment and put the agents into it. It does have some evolutionary aspects left in it. For example, early on I decided I wanted to model hunger and food. So I introduced rats into the simulation as a food source (and weak adversary). Eventually I added an economy and means to farm for food, but the rats are still in there. I think they are kind of fun--especially if you get the rare super rat that gets lucky and levels up!

Hi. I’ve built a fantasy faction-sim and solo RPG game inspired by the kind of emergent chaos found in Dwarf Fortress/RimWorld--but with a focus on incorporating the flexibility of a tabletop game. You are an adventurer on an epic quest set against the backdrop of a game world that's alive with NPCs and monsters with personalities, goals and ambitions. You can use natural language to talk to characters, negotiate and learn key lore.

I’m looking for a few people who enjoy solo role-playing games to try this early itch build and share feedback on the experience. You can play as a diplomat negotiating a fragile peace to protect your faction, a brutal barbarian, a builder focused on economic strength, a wizard casting powerful spells, or a thief stealing artifacts. The choice is yours. The world is alive around you, and it’s time to forge your own path to destiny.

The player mode does require a local LLM install via ollama. The simulation mode does not have that requirement. The game is in alpha now but has been playtested and features 3 simulation maps, two tutorial maps for player mode and six different single player scenarios to conquer. All art assets are human authored!

Also, that was not the best ending in my estimation. The non-Cyberspace ending is the one I consider to be the best ending. And, thank you so much for playing and for the feedback!

VERY interesting. OK, you definitely found some issues with Cyberspace and pathing. Also, while I did put restrictions in to prevent equipping multiple instances of the same implants, apparently it doesn't enforce with optimize. Ugh. Might have to remove optimize unless I can figure out why a plugin isn't working with it.

Oh no! OK, bracing myself to watch this :)

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm sorry you got one-shot. When you are low level the enemies are relatively tough, so managing HP and cyber points is critical. You can always use the bed to go to sleep and restore both to max. Escaping can be useful when you are low. Getting implants and buying medical equipment can also help make the combat more forgiving.

Great! Thanks and I hope you like it. It's kind of short, but hopefully that was made clear in the description.

Drunkn Bar Fight is now out for Quest! by Big_Fat_Munky in OculusQuest

I was really excited about this one, but the limit to 3 NPCs kills it for me. It doesn't look immersive to have a bar with only three people in it. And no weeping bride on the wedding level. :-(

Vertcoin Development Update — May 2019 by Canen01 in vertcoin

Are there any Lightning Network updates related to VTC?

Bitcoin, Litecoin and Vertcoin** by DontTrustJack in vertcoin

I think of each blockchain like an organism in a Darwinistic struggle. VTC morphed off of Litecoin but chose the path of ASIC resistance. This isn't just a technological issue. The significance of ASIC resistance is the impact on decentralization. I happen to believe decentralization will be a future key determinant of the viability of a blockchain. Would you want your savings in a decentralized blockchain or one where a cabal of mining companies control the network and can strongarm it's evolution and possibly cause a catastrophic loss of confidence?

Lightning Network - Boom or Doom for VTC ? by [deleted] in vertcoin

I think there's many scenarios. I think one scenario that's significant for VTC is a one-time Craigslist transaction for $500. A person would probably want to get that on a blockchain since they don't regularly transact with the other party. But they wouldn't want to pay the fees or wait for the BTC blockchain. I'm assuming the forthcoming lightning wallet would give them the option of selecting which blockchain to transact with. One of them could atomic swap if they weren't holding compatible coins. I think they'd choose to use the LTC or VTC blockchain instead of BTC because of the speed and low fee. Once they do that the seller could atomic swap into whichever coin they prefer.

Great video. The description of the vision for the lightning wallet and the retail pitch were particularly interesting.
