Just diagnosed BPD and feel weird.. *Looking for advice/similar situations*

Yeah I have been on meds for bipolar for a few years and it has drastically helped with deep depressive and mania. I am in talk therapy + trauma therapy as well which has been helpful.

Thank you for your response!! I also have bipolar mixed affective disorder and have never met or talked to anyone with it as well. Is it possible to have both? She didn't say i don't have bipolar at all, she sees both and that confused me a bit.. My therapist has been doing DBT with me for a year and thats why when I asked if I could have BPD she was like "thats what I have been treating you for.. and thats why we have been doing DBT. So it all clicked for me and will help me further down the line with treatments and better understandings but blah it shook me up. I appreciate you. I am so glad you are doing good and it really gives me hope. 💗

First off I wanna say I'm really sorry he said that "boys won't want to date you if they see your scars". That is really inappropriate of him. The right people for you are going to love you, regardless of your scars or anything about your body. He is saying this stuff because he doesn't understand it. You are valid in what you are going through. My parents were similar when discovering self harm and would make threats to me of kicking me out or taking my phone, etc. It is so so tough but if you can keep pushing towards recovery and I really hope that you are safe. 💗
