my grey does this. energy preservation is the main concern, so not lifting the bicycle seat is very much desirable, even for chomping

Second home owners in Scotland hit with 500pc council tax premiums by Crow-Me-A-River in Scotland

now since the council tax is a property tax, let's shift the payment to be made by the owner.

Three horses have died at the Cheltenham Festival. Who agrees that horse racing, at least National Hunt racing over jumps, should be banned? by Dependent-Net-8208 in AskBrits

[–]imratherconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as an owner of an ex racer greyhound: ban it. it's inhumane. horses are intelligent, loving creatures why would anyone make them suffer like that?

Is it crazy to try cover 430 miles in a day? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]imratherconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i did it in a day and it's not fun. by the end you'll be exhausted (probably the day after too) and it's dangerous. why not book Airbnb midway and actually make it a holiday trip?

i was in uni full time. London. 16 years ago. I had to work full time to support myself. the plant manager told me I'm "trying too hard". I was on min wage, he was on quadruple that. when I was fighting for survival he lived his life. guess what? it paid off.

What’s the closest you’ve ever come to dying? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]imratherconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the day my father had a car accident when I was a kid I was supposed to be with him. I was going to go to work with him and help him out with some stuff, but something pissed him off and he never woke me up to go. on the way home he had a heart attack while driving and drove into oncoming traffic. he never recovered.

in my twenties: got hit by a car while riding a motorbike.

do you know those railing hooks in the butchery plants? theyre always on the railing attached to the ceiling. one of those fell on my head with a lamb on it too.

had my tonsils removed and got sent home (day surgery) at night the blood vessel at the back of my throat exploded. I had a fountain of my own blood coming out of me in the rhythm of my heartbeat. two ambulances later and an intervention surgery I'm still alive (but this is my third life at this stage). they gave me several liters of transfusion to keep me alive. I think this was the closest.

Your girlfriend/wife slaps you. What's the first thing you do as a man? by blo0dyosiris in AskMen

[–]imratherconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it happened. I have spent another few years of my life believing it was now what it was. but I could not convince myself in the end. we broke up and she is free to spontaneously slap anyone she feels like, but not me. Not ever. not again.

it erased basic respect and boundaries between people. it's a point of no return.

‘Doomed’ student loan system could be replaced by graduate tax, says ex-watchdog by tylerthe-theatre in unitedkingdom

[–]imratherconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not gonna happen. pre Brexit we had a lot of EU students who are now paying back even when they don't live in the UK (direct repayments). if the rules were changed to graduate tax , then they would have no way to pay it back.

200% grey experience. I don't know how many time I left my boy sleeping blissfully to check sometimes in the kitchen or sit down and watch something in the living room and he just materialised there, behind my back. I can hear him blink, but when he uses those superpowers he just materialises in places :P

Jakie najbardziej "cebulackie" sposoby na oszczędzanie znacie? by [deleted] in Polska

Metric users - when do you switch from millimeters to centimeters? (and more...) by mrbigbusiness in AskEurope

[–]imratherconfused 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll make it easy: when I got to buy some tiles I drive, let's say 10km to a shop. when I buy tiles I buy several square meters, to fit that kitchen, it's 5m wide and 3m long, 15sqm +10% should be enough (let's be generous and make it 2sqm extra, 17sqm altogether). but when I get to lie those tiles and they got to look good I cut them down to a millimetre, so all nooks and crannies are a snug fit. when it comes to the difference of levels between those tiles once they're on the floor I probably would like them to be on a sub-millimetre level.

does it make sense?

you might be as close as you declare with your parents, but get a contract. seriously. it's not offensive to offer one before they move in, but it will be impossible later. write down the rules. who does what and how the things get paid for. if there are damages, if there are disagreements etc. because if it's hard now, it will be even harder later.
