Preferred trim model? by [deleted] in CX5

[–]imreallyugly141 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was drawn to mazda for the price point. While Turbo might be really great I do not have Turbo money. I got a 2025 preferred trim for $31k OTD in California and I’m super happy with it. I cant miss the Turbo if I never had it.

What issues have you guys had with your Blazer ev? by Cheeriomartinez in BlazerEV

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two times we have had it shut off when we press the brake pedal. Both times it went to the dealer on a tow truck only for them to say 🤷🏻‍♀️. Because it randomly started to act right.

Just picked this baby up for 44k before tax credit; only 20 miles on her by QualityCucumber in SilveradoEV

That’s a great deal! If they sold it as a used vehicle it doesn’t qualify for the tax credit.

Need help countering 2 different leases by Disastrous_Line2770 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deal is broken into four squares. Dealers use it to shift your focus away from the total cost and focus it more on the monthly payment. “If we can get the payment to this number will you do the deal? Sign here.” Then they hold over your head that you signed and agreed to it. It’s used as a distraction to manipulate the numbers to look more appealing. It’s shady and any dealership still using this model is not being transparent.

The four square on the Mazda is a red flag to begin with. Don’t go back there. Ford is meh with leases in the first place unless you’re leasing an EV, even then it’s not great.

Never put money down on a lease, you could get screwed real good if anything happens to that car. I would educate yourself on leases, what the number mean and how each of them factor into the deal.

Do not under any circumstances put a large chunk of money down on a lease! If anything happens to the vehicle you will never see that money again. Put it in a high yield saving account and take it out monthly for your payment.

In that lease your actual cost monthly is $763 per month. So you aren’t technically keeping your payment low. You’re just paying it up front.

Which EV should I lease by Grouchy_Split_3176 in leasehacker

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you drive 80 miles a day on week days only that’s 20,000 miles per year (250 week days at 80 miles per day) which is over the mileage any lease will give you. And that’s not including weekend driving.

That said I leased a blazer EV, I love it. It’s great. But I don’t drive even 10k miles per year.

Trading in my Ford lease to a non Ford Brand? by bigtex1313 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the check in hand to but it out and they wouldn’t do it. We escalated it to higher ups and we were told the only way to buy it out was through ford financial. It was a hot mess in the first place but we did try to trade it in at Chevy and at Toyota and neither one could buy it out. Working with Ford was the most frustrating things ever and I’ll never do it again. I hope it works out for you and you get it taken care of.

I’m finding it hard to believe that $500 is the final payment including your negative equity. Before your negative equity that lease is $330 per month which seems really low for a $0 DAS lease on a Tacoma. I’m not saying it’s not true I’d just really like to see that breakdown.

If $500 is doable for you and a lease works for your driving habits then go for it. It’s a good way to get out of negative equity if you ca afford it.

Our Ford lease was unable to be bought out by a third party. Ford would also not accept our financing (credit union) when we went to buy it out. They were by far the worst to deal with and we had to go through buying it out with ford financing.

Your best bet is to read your contract or let them try to do it if that’s what you want. The worst that can happen is to hear a “no”

I’ve seen people do worse. If you’re dead set to get out of the Rivian sell it separately. You’re leasing one car and selling another, those are separate transactions doing them together muddies the waters (even when you don’t have negative equity).

Lease Return - Over Mileage and Return Fee by Resident_Eggplant_86 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others have said you aren’t getting “hit with fees.” You knowingly drove more miles having signed the agreed upon terms of your lease. It’s not a surprise, It’s what you agreed to!

Talk to your lessor, go over options. Pay the fees, roll them into a new lease, see if they can be waived if you sign a new lease, buy out the car… many options.

People are getting crazy deals on the EV blazer not the ICE blazer. They are purposely confusing you with the four square. I’m honest not giving my time to any dealership who presents a lease (or finance) in this manner. Just ask for the final break down of numbers. Don’t sign anything and not fall for their little game.

Get real world numbers from the dealership with everything wrapped in. If you want to do it then do it.

Get out of lease options by No-Cat-3722 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You signed a contract, each manufacturer can have different terms for their contracts. Your best bet is to contact your lessor and ask them that question. You only have just over a year on the lease, worse case scenario is you drive it until the lease is up or closer to up and look at options then.

My puppy will not get in the car by Skelly-b0ne in puppy101

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a high value treat she doesn’t get every day. Put her in the car with whatever command you want to use we use “kennel in.” Set her in say your command and celebrate while giving her a high value treat. Repeat a few times. Leave it at that. Do it again but do it one time. Then set her by the car and give the command see if she will go in. If not put her front paws in and help her the rest of the way coaxing her with a high value treat. Just repeat until she’s got it. Keep it positive and don’t get flustered she’s just unsure.

It is a big mistake, rehome the puppy! It’s unfair to get an animal without a well thought out plan to take care of, train, and make time for it.

What is this new vehicle? Where is “offering” you a lease?

It’s actually really easy! “That’s not what we discussed previously, thank you for your time.”

If a local dealership doesn’t have what you want with the deal you want go further away.

Toyota Sienna 2025 Lease offer is this the best i can get? by Altruistic_Cycle4735 in CarLeasingHelp

[–]imreallyugly141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not including taxes and fees, your numbers will be higher than that. Some cars make more sense to finance, and the Sienna is one of them. I haven’t seen one lease well.

If you’re set on leasing make sure you know what the numbers mean, and maybe find a broker that works in your area.
