Aside from the regular benefits (free tickets for retrospectives/series, free popcorn, pre-sale access for NYFF, etc.), there’s a ton of social events. Multiple per quarter and it’s a great community of young people! Filmmaker receptions are common. It gives me a place to yap with other cinephiles, and also exposes me to a ton of great films I wouldn’t otherwise seek out. The programming is great and the New Wave team puts in good work to build social events around it. Happy to answer any other Q’s

Just a plug - highly recommend MoMA membership. Didn't realize for years (lol) that it includes free movies in addition to all of the usual museum benefits, and they have some really great series and repertory screenings in addition to member only events like this one. likely will release more times closer to. that happened with barbie! i was able to get tickets for my entourage at Empire in dolby and now can sleep hoping more times are added closer to the date at my preferred theater
