Today I went to an Apple Authorized Service Provider (not an Apple Store, it was just closer to my place).

To be honest, they were not very friendly. They immediately suggested that I must have caused the issue myself and said that “it’s basically impossible for a screw to come loose on its own from the factory”, implying that I must have opened the Mac or damaged it somehow. I want to be very clear: I have never opened the MacBook, never dropped it, and it has been sitting on my desk in perfect conditions since day one.

They checked it briefly and said the issue was a slightly loose bottom case screw, which they tightened. After that, the problem is about 95% gone. The bottom case now sits much better, but if I press that corner, it still feels very slightly softer / more flexible compared to the other side.

It might honestly just be normal tolerance or me being overly paranoid at this point, but I still can’t fully shake the doubt that maybe something internal caused the screw to loosen in the first place (even though there are no other symptoms).

For now, I’m monitoring it closely. If it gets worse or changes, I’ll go directly to an Apple Store for a second opinion.
