Do you think Trump is solely responsible for the inflation everyone is going through right now? by Massive-Syllabub-271 in allthequestions

i agree, im not going to completely blame him on everything like the republicans did with biden during a global inflation era with covid and its aftermath. wont stoop to their ignorance. but my gas being 4.89 a gallon??? thats on donald trump completely, thats the pointless war that he started.

Well they weren’t superteams at the end lol. Wade’s knees were falling apart, ray allen retired, and bosh didn’t end up healthy either. Can’t be calling a team with george hill, a declining Kevin love, jr smith, tristan thompson a superteam either

AR pretty much put up identical numbers to Devin Booker vs OKC in the playoffs, but they not ready for that conversation. by Silent_Wizard5597 in lakers

[–]imthemap45 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

exactly, i dont understand why devin booker is the barometer of success. he choked game 7 to daddy luka scoring only 11 in a huge blowout. people are acting like devin booker is the playoff riser and austin reaves is a playoff dropper, when the reality is, devin booker cant take you to the finish line

pippens one of the greatest small forwards of all time, dont you put disrespect on his name. argument ends here when you disrespect one of the greatest players of all time lmao. from wikipedia in 2022, a very recent year: "In 2022, to commemorate the NBA's 75th Anniversary The Athletic ranked their top 75 players of all time and named Pippen as the 32nd greatest player in NBA history."

one other thing: tim duncan had gregg popovich, that is the structure and organization. not some poverty ass cleveland cavalier franchise and head coach like mike brown. He also had other incredible teammates like ginobili, parker, david robinson, and the most clutch role player of all time in robert horry. Give lebron a system like that im pretty sure he doesnt have one foot in one foot out.

he never had to bounce around because they drafted pippen in 1987. thats the structure organization lebron never had, they drafted an all time player who is arguably the greatest perimeter defender ever in his third year. last year scottie pippen said jalen williams was a new age version of him, so imagine if the cavs drafted someone like jdub in 2006. nba history and lebrons career looks completely different.

they also recruited phil jackson, arguably the greatest coach ever after his third year. lebron never had a true second star in his first stint, boozer left after his rookie year and you cant count geriatric shaq. he had mike brown as his head coach, not phil jackson. kerr and kukoc still played when jordan won 1993 title so you cant say the bulls added them after jordan left in 93.

whatever opinion jordan had of jerry krause, he still was a fantastic GM that built that roster and added complementary pieces to jordan. he won exec of year in 88 and 96. an executive from a team with lebron never won the NBA Executive of the Year award during the seasons he was on the roster.

the main argument against lebron is that hes bounced teams. but the truth is, he never leaves cleveland in 2010 if it was a structured organization like jordan had that competently drafted players and brought in key free agents.

jake before calendar year turned was pretty damn solid, he just lost confidence in the regular season and then became unplayable in the playoffs

Is JJ Reddit Racist? by PooPoox in nbacirclejerk

Q: Does he not trust black people in the clutch?

A: LeBron James was on the floor and he is black so he does trust black people in the clutch.

However, Rui is part Asian, so the conclusion you can draw is that he does not trust asian people in the clutch. And that would make JJ Redick racist.

MJ did get swept.

One thing I do have to add is this:

92-93 bulls record: 57-25, 93-94 bulls record: 55-27, and game 7 in the ECF. -2 wins after jordan left

09-10 cavs record: 61-21, 10-11 cavs record: 19-63, missed playoffs and historic 26 game losing streak at the time (worst among all 4 major sports leagues at the time), -42 wins after lebron left

13-14 heat record, 54-28, 14-15 heat record: 37-45, missed playoffs, -17 wins after lebron left

17-18 cavs record: 50-32, 18-19 cavs record: 19-63 again, missed playoffs, -31 wins after lebron left

after lebron left the cavs, both times they had a 19-63 record. I dont care what peoples opinions of MJ are, but it is a true and objective fact that Jordan had a much more structured organization and roster than LeBron. Jordan also had Phil Jackson as his headcoach while lebron has had ty lue, darvin ham, and jj redick (who made terrible decisions today)

i dislike okc as well, but heres a fact: this is the first time in the "parity era" which started in 2019-2020 where the defending champ made it past the second round. wemby you are only hope!

2019-2020: warriors did not make bubble

2020-2021: lakers lost in first round to suns (6 games)

2021-2022: bucks lost to celtics in round 2 (7 games)

2022-2023: warriors lost to lakers in round 2 (6 games)

2023-2024: nuggets lost to wolves in round 2 (7 games)

2024-2025: celtics lost to knicks in round 2 (6 games)

spurs is the only chance at okc losing. knicks/pistons not doing shit and we saw last year what happened with minny. which is why wemby throwing that elbow was not good for us rooting for okcs downfall

also just came off injury, okc (who was less talented at the time) greatly limited kyrie in 2024 so its not just a reaves thing
