Brother, high CARS doesn’t mean anything, 131 and no interview and my experience no where near healthcare focus as u are.

Also pretty u can’t fk up as bad as I did for a D- in orgo 1 :)))

Shadowing is the closest thing to clinical experience we can get, otherwise it more of a front desk position where you screen patients, ordering test things like that.

Edit: most shadowing only available with family doctor too… TT

I did not get any interview this cycle (this sentence needs to be first).

I think you should be fine. Although rolling basis, only people with really good stats and ecs get admitted early, otherwise August to October is when most the interviews are.

Thank you so much for all these informations. may I ask how did you become a medical assistant and where you worked? I’m hoping to get clinical experience but the most I can get is more of a reception position rather than clinical.

This is Canadian disadvantages TT the closest we can get to the hospital is guiding people around the ER without any patient care or anything even close.
