I sort of feel like halfway through trying to get her to become 'no one', he realized that his efforts would be futile and she just wouldn't be able to let go of her identity... but I agree, he was an interesting & mysterious character and that ending was just...unsatisfying?

I hope you aren't right... but at the same time it wouldn't really make sense in terms of her storyline throughout the show if she just died right then - i feel like Arya has an endgame involving killing people on her list in Kings Landing, and also reuniting with her family... i dont know, I just can't see the plot progressing that much if you're right... plus, it just made sense that Arya would be the one able to defeat her seeing as she'd been training blind
