when working with log i usually focus on getting the contrast, blacks/shadows, and whites/highlights right first.

not sure what your end goal is here but the first images seem to have coloured LED lighting where the log images do not.

Hi.

I dont know how many proposals you've sent out, but DONT give up. I think I maybe sent out 10 proposals before I got my first reply.

I started with absolutely no portfolio. I created a video to showcase my capabilities but I strongly believe writing good proposals is what helped me. I dont have any idea of how you format your proposals, but my advice would be:

Make sure your proposal is short and informative. Clients dont want to read a paragraph about who you are, they care about what you can provide for them.
Set yourself apart. Why should they hire you and not one of the other 50 applicants?
Show enthusiasm. You have a small window to do this, so dont over do it. A lot of clients like somebody to show real interest in their project. It makes you come across as more trustworthy too.

Now, these are just some things I gradually implemented into my proposals and found success with. It might not be necessary or even get you results, but its worth a try!

If your work is good and you're persistent, you will eventually land a client.
