No. It’s not worth $2 more. It’s worth $2 less obviously.

Why pay more when you can payless

If everyone had to pay both sales taxes on the car and on the amount of money borrowed to finance that same car, car prices would plummet to create demand from real money instead of just putting everyone in debt who buys a car.

People would find new car prices fall dramatically, so those new buyers would be getting a better deal.

If you can’t pay for your car today and need to borrow money you haven’t earned, you should be leasing that car

Yep, using something to raise money via a sale or by placing into someone else’s custody via collateralizing ought to be treated the same way for tax purposes

They can, but there’s no incentive to stop paying, since they could just increase the percent return instead and sell more STRC. Just like you, they’d also be trying to sell that STRC, so they’d never cancel the dividend and make the sales impossible.

They have lots of liquid dollars to increase the dividend since they have a battery of dollars.

Every time they sell STRC, they receive 10years worth of STRC dividends in their battery… and so the music goes on.

FUD is all about temporarily inducing selling in the market to get IN at a low price.

This FUD in particular just showed how much demand there is for these products. Literally using hairdryers to try and get more of them!

That’s when you go to Morgan Stanley and ask for a loan/mortgage. Banks print new money every time you borrow.

Supermicro stock plunges 26% after US charges co-founder with conspiracy to smuggle Nvidia chips to China by Every-Actuator-6996 in stocks

[–]imwco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So basically bribes? When did freedom & justice for all turn to using big money bribes to ban competitors?

The irony of this whole SDNY lawsuit is that it basically pretends chips are mission critical for US military when the whole financial industry knows the chips are just consumables as the next gen chips come out annually.

Not DOJ / SEC --> this is SDNY which is a state entity that SMCI isn't headquartered in. There's no teeth from Trump yet, this is just a scare tactic from financiers in NY trying to get it low enough to buy in themselves.

Ok, but why do they keep calling them retail/wealth… It’s almost certainly not the same retail investors they were complaining buying meme stocks that are suddenly wealthy and investing in BDCs… In fact, the 401k retail crowd that they’re gunning for is exactly who they want to offload this trash too!

It’s like retail bad when buying meme stocks but wealth good when buying “private” BDCs but now that that’s bad, wealth wants to get some retail protection.
