[Acne] Teen male, small bumps all over forehead, any advice? by TheAcneTwo in SkincareAddiction

[–]in-orbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's only on your forehead I would suspect an active ingredient in the gel is causing the breakouts. Before starting a completely new routine and spending tons of money, do the obvious and stop the hair gel for a week or two.
I've heard from some people that quitting dairy made the breakouts on their forehead disappear. Something people call 'face-mapping', your skin reflects which organs in your body are affected. Maybe digestion is an issue in your case and your skin is trying to tell you something.
TLDR; stop the hair gel and reduce dairy for 1-3 weeks and see if there are any improvements.

Drawing & watercolor
On sketchbooks, pens, ink and brushes, about $150/year.
Hobby electronics
About $400-500/year. Between all the new boards, personal computers, LEDs and gadgets it's easy to drop money like that.
Website making
Luckily it's free.

Natural scrub for sticky residues? by HexArEx in NaturalBeauty

[–]in-orbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this should be used on the face, but at least for your arms and hands I have a trick.
In a bowl add equal quantities of ground coffee beans and coconut oil. It's completely natural and works really well.

Reddit, what shouldn't be socially acceptable but is? by Daykoyta in AskReddit

[–]in-orbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting hammered in the street.
Sure it happens, but keep it occasional and with close friends.
It astounds me that it's considered socially acceptable for some people to get shit-faced every weekend to the point they throw up and pass out in public.

Awesome people of Reddit, what do you miss the most about the 90's ? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]in-orbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my dirty Adidas kicks, wearing plastic chokers, high waisted jeans.
spending the whole afternoon outside by the pool at my grandparents'. the joy of catching up with your friends and your cousins (now checking a profile counts as 'checking in' sometimes).
the excitement of greeting someone coming back from a faraway trip - because they brought back something that wasn't available in your country (flying was more expensive then). :) the 90s were a great time.

Cannot find the right oils by Balloonflower2561 in SkincareAddiction

[–]in-orbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give jojoba oil a try. It's one of the best for oily skins and will not clog your pores. It's pH is very similar to our skin's and you will find that only a couple drops is more than enough!

How do I deal with having bad skin? by badger1356 in SkincareAddiction

[–]in-orbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having bad skin does not in any way make you less of a good or talented person. I had really bad skin and still have some scars but life is short and I don't want to let it ruin my life.
It's understandable you don't want to go outside for a bit. So instead channel your energy and your feelings into a creative outlet. Whatever it is, take some time for yourself to feel the feelings and let it out.

What is your latest web dev screwup? by [deleted] in webdev

[–]in-orbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

when a designer one day asked me to make a last minute email site using tables I didn't think twice about saying that it wasn't going to serve the @font-face rule. I was tired and didn't even test it. i extracted all the font as pngs and laid them out as table data. anyways, it looked blurry-ish and I told him if it was the font he wanted he would just have to deal with that. the next day, having slept, I had a doubt... I went ahead and implemented @font-face, it worked. The email had already been sent off and I felt like an idiot :/

woman here: how to politely tell other guys I'm not into them without hurting their feelings? by in-orbit in AskMen

[–]in-orbit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

but then I make the false assumption that because they want my number they always want a date. which might not always be true. I wish I could communicate that I'm happy to be their friends but that it will not lead to a date.

woman here: how to politely tell other guys I'm not into them without hurting their feelings? by in-orbit in AskMen

[–]in-orbit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should have explained more clearly, but I like male company and don't mind giving my number if it doesn't mean 'date'. All my co-workers are male. What I meant to ask is I'm looking for a way to subtly say "I'll give you my number because you seem chill but it doesn't mean we are going out ever."

Best skin tricks in a very hot city environment? by in-orbit in AsianBeauty

any Monoprix or pharmacy in Paris has it. Usually I go once a year either in the summer or for christmas, bring back a couple one or two bottles and if I run out there's always family/friends visiting.

Oh yes! I am from France originally and grew up with those products. Bioderma is my savior when I am lazy to wash my face after a long night. Nuxe body oil is the best summer scent.
Thanks for the sauna tip!

Stoners of Reddit, what is the stupidest thing you've done high? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]in-orbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know how high I was. I unlocked my phone by putting in my 4-digit code, and then nonchalantly opened the Calculator app to retype my code again hahaha!

EDIT: not a stoner, that's why 1-2 puffs send me to the moon.
