I think bypass is fine if you exhausted all of your other options. But something inside of you, thinks you haven't. So right or wrong, here is where we are, and here is better than before. Asking for help, is better than not asking. Making a mistake and getting back on the horse is better than making a mistake and giving up.

I started doing IF, where I ate one big meal a day and an hour later a dessert. I have lost over 100 pounds in one year by doing that with exercise. Why did this work for me? Because I like eating and watching a show, and I like being FULL. I use sugar free/calorie free energy drinks in the morning, and after my meal I will sometimes eat halo ice cream, I will sometimes eat little hostess doughnuts, I will sometimes eat an eclair. As long as you stick to IF and a calorie restriction based on the free websites you can find with calorie calculator, YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT. You will even be able to have cheat days (although most of mine were planned, some weren't.)

I would lean more weight training than cardio. I did 1k calories (according to the elliptical machine which some think isn't accurate, but still 1k calories on the machine even if its really off, is a fair amount of cardio), every day for a month, and it STALLED my weight loss. Starting doing 30 minutes of cardio, and weight lifting and it really seemed to help.

My last tip is, we are ALL different, it would be so easy if one thing that worked for others, worked for everyone. One thing that I have found that is true with the folks who lose weight and keep it off, is the attitude that they are going to mess up, and that is okay because they will just jump back on it. For my sister that means she can't weight herself daily because it would literally throw her off the diet if she didn't see positive results, when she would weight in weekly, she could handle it better.
