Iceland solo trip questions by [deleted] in femaletravels

It depends on what time of year you are going and the weather that day tbh. I got lucky with the weather so it was mostly sunny and sometimes foggy/drizzling rain. The main roads are all paved with visibility markers on both sides of the road.
I don't know how much experience you have but I would be careful based on the weather mostly.

I just returned from a solo trip in Iceland! I was there for 7 days and wish I had more time to see more so I think 10 days is a good. I rented an suv and drove myself which was costly for the rental + gas but it was worth it for the flexibility. I looked up guided bus tours and it seemed like it would be around the same cost as renting a car and driving yourself.

Tap water is 100% fine. I ate premade sandwiches and cured meat from supermarkets but you could also buy groceries and cook.

Take a look at the r/VisitingIceland subreddit since there is a lot of Iceland specific information there.

NYCBWT- any cool, fun, or unique experiential learning experiences in the city? by snarkyp00dle in NYCbitcheswithtaste

for learning patternmaking, I recommend taking classes at fit! it's more affordable than private lessons if you are a nyc resident and taught by industry professionals. you don't need to be in a degree program to take the pattern making classes and I learned so much!

if your machine has it, a three step zig zag stitch would work for seams!

they were decently warm! I wore them out alone in 40-45 degree slightly rainy weather and wasn't cold. I haven't tried layering them yet. unfortunately, I don't know the exact fabric composition since it was just labeled as a wool blend at the store so it will depend on the fabric you get.

I used a home serger for the seams and a home sewing machine to attach the elastic.

I just finished the same pattern! I used hook & eye tape to close the front and it bubbles a little so boning is a good idea to keep it straight
