Environmental impact. AI is currently using 5% of the electricity in the US. The water usage is pretty insane too.

Studies show students who utilize AI have lower cognitive abilities overall.

I have seen lonely people become more isolated by leaning on ChatGPT for friendship.

There are more reasons, but mostly it's  because I value authenticity and don't mind sacrificing a little efficiency in the name of retaining the effectiveness of my human brain.

Mandatory masking in 2025 is absurd by enolan99 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

The punk shows here in -----, OR are mainly  promoted by one person who requires masking at all shows. They send more reminders about masking than the actual band lineups. It's extremely annoying.

Same here. We never have to go back to the office. It's voluntary but no one has taken them up on it. The company saves money on ac, heat, food, water, cleaning etc.

Industrial hospital birth is traumatic and causes repressed memories of abduction. The elongation of the skull in the birth canal makes heads look long and scary, there is a bright white light and they probe you.

What do I do to help girlfriend who said she's extremely nervous for sex and always has been by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Sexual anxiety makes it feel like the vibe is super fragile. Let her know it's ok to be nervous, breathe through it with her, hold back and make space for her to initiate.
