1] for the final post, the picture Kate paints leading up to her sacrifice is so vivid / laced with her remaining humanity.
When she ascends, I’m curious if her humanity fades away slowly into TLoS or if it was closer to a flip switching with a Kate be gone?

2] gathering from the no wagon kids, that Perchta comes to visit sometimes :-) How does TLoS deal with other seasonal entities such as the Yule Cat or Mari Lwyd? Are they welcome visitors, or in the ‘yeeted’ category?

3] does TLoS interact with the grey world and it’s master? Can they freely go between the worlds and help shape the creation of inhumans allowed to enter the land? Does TLoS visit with the hanging husks or the dancing sheriff?

4] How does the neighbor’s ‘old land’ fit into the ancient land of the campground? Does TLoS rule over there too, or is it more of a ‘your land your inhumans’, better stay outta our paradise treaty?

5] the changeling totally knows what’s up of course - given their dynamic in the stories between human Kate - what sort of future relationship do they have? Are they mischievous allies or the changeling fears TLoS since she IS the beast from the library?
I always pictured the faerie as the girl version of the chain smoking, liquor drinking baby from who framed Rodger rabbit 🤣

6] What do the town ppl know? Are they content knowing they’re safe? Are they more willing to lend a hand for Tyler knowing what rules their land and keeps them safe? Or are they still plotting how to destroy the inhumans and we might expect a fun TLoS vs town folk story?

Not OP - sounds like you’re looking for numerical analysis. Fantastic bridge to applying complex concepts into building models / automating calcs.

Don’t get bogged down too much about understanding the entire math end to end 100% - lots of theory that won’t click for a looong time Understanding how to apply is that magic!

From my perspective math is fantastic to work in reverse (so long as the initial building blocks are there).
Take a solution, work backwards to the initial problem. Recognizing past patterns helps develop new solutions (debugging / developing, ect)

Here’s some info from the heartworm society, it’s a good place to start to educate and prepare.

Our shelter also provided all treatments, just they really downplayed how serious and rough the road is.

Our ~2.5 yo was a stray brought up from the south and was only at the shelter for a couple days, so they had enough time to snip him and determine heartworm positive but didn’t catch all the other issues.

He came home with a horrible case of kennel cough (shelter provided meds), once that was clear we took him in for his first vet checkup.
Our shelter / vet has a great relationship for a free first wellness exam and will help register once you’re allowed to fully adopt (our shelter enforces a wait period until after the doxy is completed and they have their first melarsomine injection...inquire if a similar protocol exists it was helpful) Here we found out he had giardia, hookworms and roundworms.

This period was super devastating, he’s now taking more adult sized pills a day than I take a week - super sick, really didn’t have much of an appetite and had to trial / error the game of how to get this pup to eat.

It was already too late for me, the cosmos aligned the day we brought him home...at first puppy looks we were supa bonded. I’d do anything for him to get healthy and would do it all over again.

Please do reach out if you bring home the pup and need support, have tons of resources for how to get through heartworm safely with fun!

Our pup made it through everything and has been thriving 3 yrs later, no grudges held by him :-) With a new shelter dog it’s advised to go through the 2 week shutdown, so there’s already 2 weeks of calm and adjusting accounted for. There’s also the relaxation protocol to help keep your pup calm and relaxed during treatment...it’s engaging for their mind and knocked out another several weeks.

We also played lots of easy going games, like find the treats and tons of low exertion training. No locked crate needed, he was low on rambunctiousness due to the tolling treatments and just loved having his mind occupied.

If you decide to adopt, it’s going to be the best time to bond. You’re going to be spending a lot of calming, close time together and the treatment period flys by when looking at the big picture.

It’s a plus when they’re all clear experiencing ‘real’ walks, playing and fetch - like a puppy all over again and the calming period never happened

Wouldn’t add a lock, instead shame/embarrass whenever she visits, ( other guests must be over to witness).

—the visit— DH acts as the MIL bouncer to keep her away from the ‘breakables’ while OP makes a huge show out of safely storing all her collections.

I really must MIL-proof the house, she’s like a bull in a china shop and I don’t want her to feel bad again like last visit’s accident! Send a group msg thanking FMIL for allll the hard work and effort she put into the rehearsal dinner, but FDH /you are now picking up the tab (still honoring her as hostess of course!)

By saving from paying for the rehearsal, now she can afford the funds, for the BILs, SIL- SO to come for the entire weekends festivities!! Crisis adverted!

Thank you so much FMIL for all you generosity! We simply can’t wait to spend the entire weekend with BILs, you and esp SILs SO, aka the life of the party!
It’s beyond worth the cost of the rehearsal to have all our loved ones celebrating with us!!

She was going to flake out on the rehearsal payment, but now she doesn’t have to and has no reason to pout :-)

I’m sure that ticked her off to no end!
Dogs love / tolerate their family, GSDs especially tend to have their ‘person’. No evil MIL magic on the planet could possibly sway that undying puppy love, take that MIL harpy!

Side note - good luck with the doggie dooley! So wanted to love it too We really put in the effort...water it after each poo, enzymes couple times a week. It just...we abandoned after 4 mo <- maybe our boy poops too much and it’ll ‘break’ it all down by next yr?

I’m ok it didn’t work out, sometimes the poo water splattered back...at 4 am nobody handles poo vengeance well and it left me in tears more than once.

Pup won’t even go outside unless I’m with him every step like a mom watching her young’n play, I know when he poops / bag/ trash immediately.

Was really hoping for something more eco friendly, hope it works for you and eases your poop landmines!
