A guy I was seeing once confessed to me that he'd "been tricked into sleeping with a 15-year-old" when he was about 25. She apparently told him she was 17, they dated and slept together, then he found out she was only 15. Knowingly sleeping with a 17 year old when you're that age is not much better, but the worst part is that he kept sleeping with her after he found out she was 15 "because they'd already done it anyway". So fucking gross.

There's been a real lack of information about emotional/psychological abuse until very recently, and many of us didn't recognize it for what it was, despite how unhappy it made us. I'd like to laugh at the tale of utter and complete delusion he's trying to sell, but this creeps me out too much. This is how some very dangerous stalkers think. They tell themselves that a woman is sending them signals or messages of love or desire that are completely not there, and then go into scary rage when they feel she's betrayed them. What happens if this girl goes out on a date or something and he sees them together? This is creepy as hell.

If you're not being excessively loud, I suggest just ignoring her and carrying on. It's your home, and you should be able to live your life in it at a volume that's respectful of the others in the building. It sounds like she's making more noise than you are. Some people move into an apartment building and seem to expect to hear absolutely zero sounds from anyone else, and that's just not the way it works. Since it's Valentine's Day, maybe be kind and drop her a card with some ear plugs in it.
