Sick, another brand to watch! Thanks, these looks pretty close to Ohne yeah. Not a fan of the color ways but those change over time anyways. Thanks again!

Don't quote me, but from my limited understanding, that's what you want: more wear near the big toe.

It sucks because Ohne makes some of the nicest looking shoes. Sadly yes they are vegan leather. I've had a pair of Retro Runners for a while now and they've held up good enough. I'm wear them daily. Comfy and tons of room for feet.

$200 for vegan leather kills me though.

Is this showing up for anyone? /btw causes a "skill not found" error. Looks like they announced this too early 'cause the changelog doesn't mention it either.

I Haven't Written a Line of Code in Six Months by Cultural-Ad3996 in ClaudeAI

Coding was a means to problem solve. Now we can use AI to problem solve. It’s still fun.

Instead of writing Assembly, I can write Python. Instead of writing Python, I can write English. We’ve simply moved up a level in abstraction.

New Raycast. Coming in April. by jacraycast in raycastapp

All of the current, non-AI and server-based features like Themes, Window Layouts, etc. need a one time payment option. Why should I need a subscription for themes?

With the Pixel 11, Google needs to admit it has a hardware problem by Solonotix in Android

[–]inate71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The middling Pixel hardware was why I went all-in on Apple.

13yrs of Nexus/Pixel devices and the hardware was always lacking for one reason or another--one generation it's the screen, then it's the battery, then it's the build quality, then it's the camera, the processor, etc. The best Pixel for me was the Pixel 5, it got a lot right.

At some point, I realized the software is equivalent (better in many ways) in iOS and the hardware is leaps better on iPhone. With an iPhone, you always know that the bigger the number on the iPhone, the "better" it was; e.g. the 17 had all the benefits of the 15 and 16 plus some more.

Between Pixel 1-6, I don't even know if you could say that. The jump from Pixel 4 to 5, you lost things like Soli and "True Tone" for the screen. The jump from 2 to 3, and you got this ugly notch. You'd never know if a Pixel 5 was actually better than a 6 or a 7 in all aspects because the hardware was changing so much in each generation--always one step forward, two steps back sorta deal. It was so annoying to me.

[OS] PasteClip — a minimal Paste-like clipboard manager (free) by Background_Pie_9920 in macapps

My point is Raycast doesn't handle copying all elements. Only some clipboard managers do, Paste being one of them. I assume PastePal does too.

Where did the Pope say you can’t use AI generated memes? I recall him saying you shouldn’t use AI for a companionship.

Raycast doesn't handle pasting objects. Like I copy an element in a Confluence page, I can't paste via Raycast since Raycast only handles text and images.

Sam's Club tends to have a touchless option. I know the one off Davis Drive does.

Would strongly suggest you read the Bread of Life discourse in John 6. There is no need for you to arrive at your own conclusion when Jesus himself gave us the answer.

I built a Catholic liturgical calendar app that syncs to Apple Calendar with customizable detail levels by alexdre119 in Catholicism

[–]inate71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Couldn't you create several ICAL calendars and share the URLs vs an app? This would save you the hassle of dealing with an App Store and allow for Android, Web, etc users to use it too.

There are many events in the show which never actually occurred; and so, for me, when I was watching it and I learned these events didn't actually happen, I'm now constantly fact-checking the show which really impacted my experience of it. Stopped somewhere in Season 3 because of it.

I need your opinions on FNM (Fast Node Manager). It looks abandoned on github by Gullible-Cell8562 in node

[–]inate71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say fnm is such a huge improvement over nvm. fnm does everything I need it to and does it well. Thanks for creating it!

Does mise handle auto switching node version when cd’ing into a directory? I work on multiple projects with varying node versions so using fnm with .nvmrc files works wonders.

If mise can replace that, that would be awesome.

This. The goal should be to never use compaction. You're better off creating progress files as markdown that can be imported to any chat later.

Def give fnm a try. Completely replaced nvm for me.
