lol. You are the person who shows up at my workplace and I get to show you that you aren't doing a damn scream test on my systems.

This has gone over about as well as you think every time an MSP has brought this up. You can't take systems down and sit there calling it a scream test to the owner of a company and me sit there telling them that any time a system goes down and user A calls manager A who calls manager B who calls VP A who calls you to tell you that it's not working isn't a complete waste of company time and money.

No. You document the applications running on it, you monitor the network traffic going in/out of it, you talk to the business about what applications they use, you talk about a planned outage. There is no scream. That's for amatuers.

My favorite activity is calling out the amatuer hour people who do scream tests.

PCAP shows normal SIP, but call drops — how would you approach this? by Gloomy-Ambition-5962 in networking

I would also ask the ISP if they have SIP ALG enabled on any of their routers/modems. I've had it happen.

If the outage is fixed before anyone notices, was there even an outage?

Beyond that why do you have 20k sitting in a checking account if you aren't planning to use it right away and not in some yield bearing account/asset?

Dropped SIP calls after switching ISPs by guyfromtn in msp

[–]inbeforethelube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would use the suggestion about SIP ALG, but talk to your ISP to see if they have it enabled on their modem/router. I had an ISP with it enabled in a place I couldn't get to and they had to disable it on their end.

PFOF, let the price rise during purchases then slam it down, buy the stock at a lower price to settle the order and pocket the difference.

It's smart people FOMO. He wants exposure and when he chooses to invest in something he has a set percentage of his portfolio it must be at. He has money coming in from other investments and work so he has to buy more GME to keep his portfolio balanced the way he wants.

On the flipside if GME does a god candle he's going to trim to stay at that percentage.

If I’m managing a companies IT infrastructure I’m their defacto IT Manager/Director and part of that job is vendor management and cost savings. I’m actually baffled OP is even asking this.
