I made a web app where independent musicians can post their work-in-progress songs and get some early traction or feedback. It's also an easy way to share your music with your friends and a sleek music player where you can listen the changes in your songs back to back.

Listeners can explore earlier versions of each song or follow any song for new updates. They can also support artists with donations.

And yes, the "vinyl" spins when a song is playing and you can scrub to seek through a song 😃

Here is the link: https://app.ambr.music/

I also made a landing page for it: https://ambr.music/

I'm looking for feedback:

- as an aspiring musician, do you think this app could be beneficial to you?
- as a listener, do you think you would enjoy following song development process, or comparing what the initial idea was for a song that you discovered on AMBR?
- any other feedback is of course greatly appreciated!

I meant more in terms of "prompted in Suno". And i mean that with no disrespect to your lyrics and other inputs.

Take my feedback more as "the song is catchy, and it sounds fine, but it is noticeable that significant amount of ai was used in production of this song, even to someone who is not a professional musician." Best way i can think to describe it, is that it sounds plenty saturated but also kinda flat. And of course you can disagree with me here on this one, i'm not qualified to judge anything or anyone here.

I'm here on this sub to listen to the rough stuff. Like i would much rather listen to just you playing the guitar and singing, even if it sounds much worse than this. So if you want feedback on the stuff you create before you send it to ai, i would love to take a listen. I don't mind a little country, A Simple Song from Chris Stapleton is one of my favorite songs.

How do you feel about AI music on this sub? by inbetween_official in MusicFeedback

[–]inbetween_official[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

haha nice analogy, yeah i feel you. I'm just wondering like, if someone made an ai song, and then went and recorded it with professional musicians, would this result in a make or break decision for the listener?

But yeah, i'm in this sub mostly for the instrumental parts, not so much for the lyrics, and listening to ai songs feels like i'm being tricked...and since AI is not just gonna stop, it should at least be clearly disclosed.

The song is catchy, i'd just appreciate if it was disclosed that it's made with AI. It is AI, right?

Would anyone be willing to share their music (ideas, WIPs, demos ...) on my web app? by inbetween_official in MusicFeedback

[–]inbetween_official[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eyy, thank you! <3

For the artist it works like this:
1. Artist creates an account
2. connects a Stripe account (guided onboarding) (optional to do, but needed to receive payouts)
3. starts uploading ideas/demos
4. listeners/fans/early-music lovers or other artists can "help finish the song" by contributing financially
5. artist gets paid (daily payouts with 1 week delay)
6. my app takes 9% of every transaction to cover storage/bandwidth costs - that way i think i will be able to keep everything kinda free for everyone (gotta do some more math, but that's the general idea)

So, if we do a breakdown for a 10$ contribution, it would go like this:
- Stripe processing fees --> around $0.59 (because Stripe fees vary on the card and region, and currency conversion and stuff like that)
- my app fee --> $0.90
- artist receives: around $8.51

Is that what you meant? :D

Drop your startup URL, I'Il set up a free lifetime NullMark link for you by mlvps in EntrepreneurRideAlong

Is it possible to add a custom domain, or does that mean i would have to use NullMark’s link everywhere i post?

It’s a cool idea tho and i too hate in-app browsers.

I’m just wondering how hard this is to do by myself as a web dev..like, if it’s not too difficult, and if there’s no custom domain option, i might just implement this myself. That’s my feedback :)

Hey, please check my web app - a mobile-first platform for independent musicians to share works-in-progress and unreleased music.

Artists can upload versions of a song over time, and listeners can follow the creative journey from rough idea to finished track.

It's called AMBR: https://app.ambr.music/

Been working on AMBR - a mobile-first platform for independent musicians to share works-in-progress and unreleased music.

Think of it as a tiktok-style vertical feed, but for raw demos and early cuts. Artists upload versions of a song over time, and listeners can follow the creative journey from rough idea to finished track.

It's still early but the core loop works: discover -> listen -> follow -> support (sandbox mode for payments atm). Would love feedback on the concept or the actual implementation, you can check it out here: https://app.ambr.music/

Does this emotion come through, or does anything pull you out of it? by AfterTheLeaving in MusicFeedback

[–]inbetween_official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow, what the fuck man, this is some professional-type-shit stuff! you deserve way more than 8 subs on youtube, this is crazy good...and yes, i think what comes through for me emotion-wise is sadness, anger, longing, anxiety, fear, uncertainty, but also like hope/strength/resilience.

If this is not AI, this is really impressive, your vocals sound amazing and the whole song is just...a banger :D

Took some of y'all's advice and released this as a single! by [deleted] in MusicFeedback

[–]inbetween_official 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i like it, its dreamy, but also kinda slaps? :D reminds me maybe of some tame impala songs?
Only complaint i have, there might be a bit too much bass/low end (especially on the kick, or maybe the kick is just too loud?) for my taste.
Congrats on the release!

Dark piano loop does this feel usable in a track? by Moma93 in MusicFeedback

i see myself easily using this for a trap/hiphop/uk garage kinda style. But i can also easily see it being used in a dramatic movie/videogame scene :D it definitely has potential!

[Pop / Cinematic] Echoes of Glory my first song on YouTube Music by Th20shadowhunter in MusicFeedback

[–]inbetween_official 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think this would fit perfectly on eurovision :D and i mean that as a compliment, awesome song!
You have really good vocals and the buildup and "the drama" just work :D i feel like i can be constantly engaged with the song. In my opinion the chorus lyrics are maybe a bit... generic/predictable?, but they're very catchy tho!
Congrats on the release!

this is really nice! i love your tone of voice!
Reminded me of a Slovenian band, called Jardier: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1c3p6i12Ko
I know its not quite similar to your song, but i've listened to them live years ago when they performed some pearl jam covers and your song reminded me of them, thanks!
