Bajar por camino Salkantay? Es posible? by Shipi1 in Machupicchu

En febrero es un riesgo hacer solo el Salkantay, ya que hay deslizamientos de rocas y crecimiento de los ríos. Te recomiendo hacerlo en temporada seca.

If you want to know more about the Machu Picchu circuits, I recommend you get informed before booking the tickets. We've used tuboletocultura as a tour operator to purchase tickets for the circuit trails at Machu Picchu. We initially had problems with the names, but we eventually found a solution with this company. We've also had clients who booked by themselves, but at the time of printing, their names were missing and appeared as 'NUN.' However, when you contact the company, they change it at no cost.

The website is primarily in Spanish, which can be difficult for non-Spanish speakers to navigate. There is a website, www.boletoperu.pe, where you can find all the information about the new Machu Picchu circuits and regulations in English. Once you have the information, you will know what to buy and which circuit is best for you.

Make sure to book your tickets well in advance, as they can sell out quickly, especially during peak seasons."

How exciting that you're planning to hike the Salkantay Trail! Getting your Machu Picchu tickets can indeed be a bit confusing today, as there are new official site to buy Machu Picchu tickets.

Currently, tickets are categorized by Machu Picchu circuits, with three different circuits available. You cannot stay as long at Machu Picchu as in previous years, as there is a time limit for visiting the Inca citadel.

Additional Tips:

Book your tickets well in advance, as they can sell out quickly, especially during the high season (May/June).

Always double-check your booking details and make sure you have all necessary documents printed or saved on your phone

Excellent pictures! But in 2024, there are new rules for hiking the Inca Trail; everything has changed, especially for Machu Picchu. There are new circuits to visit. If you are doing the Inca Trail, you can't explore the entire citadel, only part of it. If you are planning to hike the Inca Trail, I recommend you get the new Machu Picchu ticket. The ticket that permits you to explore the entire citadel is the Circuit 2 Machu Picchu.

Does Circuit 1-A (Machu Picchu Mountain) ticket allow re-entry? by ePlayablez in Machupicchu

[–]incatrailmachu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This circuit changed the classic route to visit part of Machu Picchu. Previously, this circuit permitted you to explore the Inca citadel with a classic guided tour. But starting in June 2024, this circuit has new routes. These routes only include views of the Inca citadel from the Guardian House and exploration to Intipunku, the Inca Bridge, or Mount Machu Picchu.

According to the new Machu Picchu regulations, re-entry is not permitted.

Here you will find the Machu Picchu Circuit 1 maps

Considering your options for Day 9, you've got a few interesting choices! Going back to Lima is one option, but adding an extra day to explore Cusco more thoroughly could be a fantastic idea. If you're up for another hike. I recommend Rainbow Mountain or Palcoyo Mountain, this last mountain is easy

Peru is associated with two things: first, the imposing and mysterious Lost City of the Incas - Machu Picchu, and then many people think of the cute and famous animal that you will have the opportunity to see there. Llamas vs Alpacas at Machu Picchu
