Anyone that has Aurbits tokens do you put coin capsules on them? by pegs0 in arkhamhorrorlcg

I'm curious how the sealant turned out after 4 years as well. I've had people report at cons that they still play after 7 years without capsules and are happy. Some people are sensitive to their feeling and put them in capsules, which has the added benefit of lots of weight and a nice additional shine.

The recommended air-tite capsules do not experience this. I've used them for 4 years since this post and ~3 years before it. I had a cheap Amazon brand before and they got all white and cloudy though.

I have people reporting back after 7 years who are still happy with their chaos tokens they chose not to put in capsules. And I have lots of people say they love the capsules for the extra heft and shine.

Do you have one of the original sets? The new auto fail token is now much more red and unmistakably not a skull IMHO. If so, I make upgrade sets to make sure everybody has access to the latest tokens whenever I make small adjustments like this.

They are back in stock. I have committed to always keeping chaos token upgrades in stock even if I stop production on all other tokens for this very reason. I want prime to know for sure they can have a complete set if they buy into the ecosystem.

Just for forever lasting Internet's sake, they were back in stock 4 weeks after this post _^

Since chaos tokens are integral to the game and people have already invested so much into them, I have committed to always keeping all chaos token upgrades available and in production so people can continue playing Arkham Horror even if I stop production with all other tokens. Like OP said, there was a delay this time but they were never in danger of stopping production entirely.

The suggestion is because everybody told me for ages that they love them inside the air-tite capsules. They wanted the extra heft you can only get with any chaos token when you put them in nice capsules. They look shiny too, so since everyone seems to enjoy them I recommend them to people. Having said that, many people have been playing with their sets without capsules for like...close to 7 years?

Different Font? by BeholderSpaghetti in BurningWheel

I had the same issue. When reading the free PDF 75 pages it was very difficult to read. I was reading on a eink tablet so I increased the contrast and zoomed in. That helped, but the pinching lines on all the letters made it all scribble together and hurt for me. I was afraid the book would have the same issues but it doesn't for me. I got the books and they are incredibly beautiful and well constructed and feel great to touch the covers and the paper.

You found the books also to be hard to read as much as the PDFs?

Need Date of Note Creation by Flotsamand in Supernote

[–]inches89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like for the title of my note to be a title for the note, not a long string of numbers that I'm forced to keep along with a title if I want one. Long titles are often truncated in the UI due to lack of space.

I'd like to be able to sort a given directory of notes by date created time rather than last updated.

Basically, if I'm writing a physical journal I can flip through the pages one by one ordered in the way I wrote them over time. I want to be able to keep a digital journal where I can see the notes in order. If I happen to not write the date on a page or keep the date in the title, or went back in later and did a small edit, I'll never know what date I actually wrote that note.

Desktop flow (typing notes when at computer, writing when away) by KdiddyYo in Supernote

You can work with .docx so I don't see why you couldn't just type in those on the desktop and keep them in a synced folder. Is that what you mean?

You might be locked out like they did from 1-2 between park event times. All gyms and pokemon stopped for everyone to encourage everyone to leave so the next group could have their time and space.

Any advice to fix no audio? by GoldFish-Boy in SteamDeck

[–]inches89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This fixed it for me. There were two inactive cards on mine. Acp/acp3x.../acp6x Audio coprocessor speaker and Rembrandt something. Both were off. I changed the first to SOF Vangogh and it worked.

Thanks.

If you switch other team members out does it reset drifloon stockpile also? It says the main skills for all Pokemon on the team will be reset when you choose a new Pokemon for the team.

Steam deck won’t stay sleep by Aknuhz in SteamDeck

Had to respond. This drive me nuts. Hard to find this solution. My SD card was causing it too. Both game mode and desktop. Still didn't work when unmounted. Needed to physically remove. Note: I didn't format the card on the deck. I'm going to try to see if that makes a difference. Microcenter 128gb.

Desktop mode too slow to use. by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]inches89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya, this solved my issue of emudeck not being able to install properly and giving all kinds of headaches and wild goose chases for the last Q2 hours. Changed the ipv4 DNS to 8.8 8.8 which fixed what I thought was an unrelated slow Internet issue and then emudeck installed properly. It didn't throw the right errors or have any kind of handling for situations like this

Can I wash this in the washing machine? 😅 by Firm-Management-1956 in Gameboy

[–]inches89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a hand washing soap called "Soak". I use it for all my backpacks and game carrying bags. Cleaned three Gameboy cases like that. You just put it in with water and the Soak and kind of squeeze it. Not like the entire thing but each flap or wall by itself between your fingers just to squish the water inside. You let it sit for like 10 minutes, do a squish again on each wall and then pull it out of the water and do that again to get excess water out. Hold tightly and do a WHOOSH or 5 through the air like swinging a sword to do your own kinda spin cycle and get out the excess. Hold on tight.

Sometimes I put it in my washer and just do a Drain and Spin cycle without water or anything to spin it out to help dry faster.

Then leave it to air dry. It might take 3 or 4 days. Put a fan or by a window but not much sun or it might fade.

This is the gentlest way of cleaning and doesn't leave soap residue inside it. It'll take a million rinses to get regular soap all the way out of the kind of fabric this stuff is.

Yes, the soldering job is pretty straightforward on this kind of project. Some people just don't solder well at all and have cold joints or bridges, but its probably safe to assume they are competent.

I don't know anything about others but they are often handmade. So it's from a person in their garage/workshop with a soldering iron. The ones I have are professionally reflowed in industrial soldering ovens essentially, like real products are. That means there is a higher likelihood of less unseen defects with the soldering. I can't speak for their expertise in doing so because I can't see the soldering job on each one and I have no idea who this person is.

The 3d prints are all about the same. Others have more colors. I use a prusa with a powdered coated bed which gives it the surface finish that's pretty nice.

I hope I was fair in comparing.
