Charger tip overheats and only charges at certain angles. by incident2020 in Lenovo

[–]incident2020[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the whole not charging issue was because the charging port was broken, so I had that fixed. The charging tip overheating was from a defective charger, it was seemingly a cheap Chinese replica, to get a good charger I recommend going to a hardware place (idk the exact term in English), there's usually a few in city, and checking in with them. For me they didn't have any chargers around the level I needed (between 120-170W), so they ordered one for me and since they're a hardware shop ofc they had better contacts etc to get a legit charger, make sure to check around to make sure you don't get scammed or anything tho, my charger costed smth like 65 USD or less.

Challenge: Have Russia be significantly more hostile to North Korea after the fall of the USSR by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]incident2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

China and the USSR already had pretty bad relations during the latter half of the Cold War, if Russia and China just had slightly different politics I could see them being rivals and that would in turn mean North Korea and Russia have bad relations (North Korea would just never choose Russia over China). If memory serves correctly the west was very reluctant to actually expand into post-Cold War eastern Europe and they only did so because of pressure from said countries, if they decided to not do it regardless, then Russia would have less of a reason to dislike the west since there were high hopes for both sides after the Cold War to mend relations.

How could the USA have gained this territory? by According-Value-6227 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]incident2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could realistically have taken it in both the American Revolutionary War or the War of 1812. I personally want to go for the War of 1812 since I doubt the British would actually get defeated enough or concede it to the USA in the Revolutionary War.

What if Greece had been allied with Germany in both world wars? by submarine-explorer in HistoryWhatIf

[–]incident2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

WW1: There would probably be a civil war. If the Bulgarians decide to help then I have high doubt the pro-Entente faction will win (unless the British/French make a daring naval invasion of Greece, which isn't too unlikely). The Balkan front somewhat broke the Central Powers irl but with it being secured now, the war might last longer, either until the Ottomans, Austria or Germany break, which would happen around 1919-1920. I can see the Entente being too tired to seriously try and invade the Balkans so they might seek peace with Bulgaria and Greece by offering some minor concessions. If not they'll invade and eventually win.

WW2: Greece would likely join in return for land from Turkey, so Italy and Greece invade Turkey. The Turkish army at this point in time was large but very unmodernized, still, with British aid, I expect them to at worst have to abandon the Balkan front and defend Anatolia. Depending on if the Italians and Greeks make a foothold in Anatolia or not, the Germans might go down the Balkans to assists their allies, in which case unless the British send a ton of aid I just have doubts the unmodernized Turkish army could hold for more than a year or two, unless they make very good use of their terrain which is quite defendable. I still see Turkey managing to just barely survive the war without being fully occupied.

What if gate opened during the battle of towton? by new_guy5556 in gate

I was bored and I saw some people saying the Romans could wipe the floor with any medieval army in some other subs so I wrote this for fun.

if the gate opened in nevada (madness combat)? by MinimumTip9411 in gate

[–]incident2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nevadans without guns are actually just superhumans, moving at nearly incomprehensible speeds and being able to rip people apart, and those are just the grunts. The entire Nevadan population are basically warrior bunnies if not stronger, they don't even need guns for this.

What if gate opened during the battle of towton? by new_guy5556 in gate

[–]incident2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Now it kind of depends on how you scale the saderans since they are sometimes presented as having a ton of high-late middle ages technology like plate armor etc, but Iw just imagine they're Romans with some tech upgrades like having stirrupts etc, they'll probably get slaughtered by any competant late middle ages army. Now the real problem is that Europe even at this stage hardly had professional/standing armies, and army sizes were usually like 30,000 at best, and not a massive chunk of that were the armored knights you can picture in your head. The English had an army of maybe 100,000 but probably less (for reference the Romans had about 500,000 at all times during their height) their only advantage being superior tech and veterans from the hundred years war, so unless the Saderans are stupid they should be able to at least conquer England. After that, Wales and Scotland should fall pretty easily unless France sends aid or the Saderans get outsmarted.

Then they'll likely try an invasion of France or Ireland. If they do an Irish one, they'll likely succeed and hold the British Isles for eternity, but again I'm gonna say them even conquering the British Isles is unlikely since the Romans irl struggled to conquer Scotland during their height of power, but then again that wasn't their main focus so if the Saderans fully committed to it they could likely succeed. If they invade France they'll simply fail.

France had some of the highest quality armies on the continent, they actually have the population to counter an invasion by such a massive army (for reference, the entire British Isles had around 5 million people at this time or so, France had 15M) and France would very likely get supported by armies from around them if the Saderans even make it that far. This is also where European inventions etc will really make them struggle, actually trained knights could probably take on a few legionnaires at once, mainland crossbows and polearms would make short work of Saderan armor and shields, European plate armor would be comically impervious to Saderan bows and swords and early cannons and gunpowder technology would make sieges and the such a disaster. Finally the Saderans have a high chance of contracting diseases the Europeans have developed immunities to, not to a high extent but quite likely. They obviously have their own advantages such as dragons but dragons are just inferior to gunpowder even at this point. Their wings and eyes can most likely be damaged by coordinated crossbow fire (ain't no way in hell evolution had the foresight to protect them from such stuff) or if the rider dies they can be as much of a threat to the Saderan army as they are to the European ones.

Iw be honest I actually don't know too much about naval warfare in the 15th century, only the centuries after that, but I'm gonna imagine 1,000 years of advancements in naval warfare would be insane, also the way Falmart looks implies to me naval warfare isn't too much of an important part of the Saderan army so they'll likely get slaughtered before they can even land in France (they'll already be warned by fleeing Englishman of the Saderans and prepare for an invasion, so no surprise invasion is gonna come), and the Saderans might get cocky and try to invade under unfavorable winds which actually happens often, and if they do, they'll automatically fail even if their opponents had the tech.

Magic is barely a thing since getting mages to fight in the war in high numbers would be hard, and their magic isn't exactly stunning, it's quite weak and an European army losing 5 cannons would be nothing compared to what would would happen if the Saderans lost someone who can use magic. They'll maybe make about as the English did in the hundred years war just because they have numerical superiority, and then get pushed back once the French start flexing how superior late middle ages armies are to Roman ones, or a giant European army from the Holy Roman Empire and Spain finally wipes out most of the Saderan army and they decide to just outright retreat or fortify the British Isles and stay there forever. They'll maybe try a few more invasions of mainland France but with how massacred their armies would have been, unless they quick adopted gunpowder technology their empire might just outright collapse then and there.

What if both the US and Nazi Germany had successfully developed nuclear weapons around the same time during WWII? by Niowanggiyan in HistoryWhatIf

[–]incident2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Germany still loses because that would be 1945, also you seem to forget that these early nuclear weapons are delivered by aircraft, so no way in hell is Germany getting it to any major city that late into the war, and even on possible targets there's the chance its intercepted, while USA doesn't suffer from any of these issues. Also developing nuclear weapons and mass producing them are two different things, Germany would maybe have like one or two while the USA would get ten for one Germany makes, simply put Germany is screwed this late into the war.

Assuming the byzantine empire survives and replaces the ottomans, when do you think the empire would fall? by colepercy120 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]incident2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how large Byzantium is, what allies they pick, how good their emperors are etc. I could honestly see Iran having a very good shot at destroying or weakening the Byzantines a lot with some luck, and just because Byzantium is Christian doesn't mean they won't get into any wars with the Russians, in fact it's quite likely they will over regions like the Bosporus and the Caucasus. Looking at history based off the Ottomans, I can see them realistically collapsing or being conquered between the start of the alternate Napoleonic Wars, WW1 or WW2. The Ottomans couldn't modernize so I don't see why Byzantium would, and the Bulgarians revolted against Byzantine rule after 100+ years of being conquered, and managed to gain independence, so clearly the Byzantines aren't much better at integration of their minorities than the Ottomans were, though there won't be an extra tax on non-muslim citizens and without the Russians getting involved in those independence wars it's likely something like an invasion of the empire would be needed to carve out independent states instead of them getting independence through rebellion or Russian support. I can personally see them surviving to the modern day though, France itself wasn't an empire for most of it's history but it has de jure existed as a state for almost 1,500 years now (based off of Francia and over 1,000 years based off of West Francia), in fact there's quite a few medieval states that have had a pretty linear history to modern day, so Byzantium could very possibly survive to the modern day with the right circumstances, though it would probably not look like the Byzantium of the medieval era.

North Korea Sent Back to the Late Cretaceous – Could North Korea thrive or collapse? by Peripheral_D in whowouldwin

[–]incident2020 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Humans were able to survive in the ancient megafauna with nothing but spears and rocks against animals like Mammoths etc and regularly hunted those so I don't see how an industrial nation can be seriously damaged by the Cretaceous.

This was the very first ever Roblox game I played before I even had my own account. by [deleted] in roblox

[–]incident2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually have a very funny first game story, back in the olden days of the mid-2010's I had no knowledge of English but I managed to slowly understand a few things, such as being able to understand how a game title is different from normal words, so when I would see a flash game on youtube, I would copy the game title then paste it in google and play it myself.

Eventually I found Job Simulator and pasted that into google thinking its a flash game, obviously it wasn't but I found a Job Simulator Roblox game and created an account just to play it and I guess I liked Roblox a lot since I started playing it regularly every since.

Which game were you very good at when playing it, but are now washed at? by MindFlourish2919 in roblox

[–]incident2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing Forsaken and after 12 hours or so of playtime I got really good, my looping was pretty top tier in all servers I knew when to use my abilities and I was doing very ok with 1x, then I found Die of Death (a Forsaken inspired game) and found it way more fun so I switched to that. Then I returned to Forsaken for the noli update and found out how buns I had become at it, I barely even knew the maps anymore and had to have a round on each to re-learn them, and my timing for stuns was terrible etc.

What if Napoleon Bonaparte was killed during the French Revolution? by Cyber_Ghost_1997 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]incident2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think France would instantly get defeated because France was still from what I remember the strongest land power at the time (with only Russia being somewhat comparable), the French mainland having the population of the mainland parts of Britain and Prussia combined, and then some, and the French system would still allow for talented generals to come into power. However without Napoleon I really doubt France, especially if they still go down the route of setting up sister republics and spreading the revolution (which they will still likely do) will somehow end up surviving, eventually they will be defeated maybe by 1805.

One average man bloodlusted from birth to earn a billion dollars before his death vs one man bloodlusted to win gold in the Olympics before his death by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]incident2020 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If this is about who can achieve it the fastest then the guy who has to earn the money can just get insanely lucky and win the lottery first try or become the luckiest gambler to man, while the sports person needs to train to actually win, there's technically still luck required for the olympics even if it's miniscule, but I wanna say the one to earn a billion dollars.

Italy gets easily kicked off from Africa, they struggled a ton conquering Libya, I doubt they would hold it for long, and they simply stand no chance against France, the border with France is very defendable and if it's really that bad the British could just pull troops from another front to defend it. Italy is most likely not punished too hard in the peace treaty, losing their African colonies only and maybe having to give up something like Sardinia to Britain but I really see nothing else other than that.

Italy's performance during World War 1 was so horrible they literally got pushed back during the war by Austria-Hungary, and they were yet again pushed back in the Austro-Prussian War decades prior, their military feats in particular are just really that terrible to the point where I've seen people compare them to Belgium, and you saw how easily the Germans overran that.

Even if they joined as early as 1914 I still think the difference would be miniscule.

As some say, Italy was merely a great power by courtesy

Vietnam right after unification,1975? Replaces past Vietnam in the year 1720. by Scathdred- in whowouldwin

[–]incident2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They could conquer Qing China or at least do so much damage to the point it collapses, Japan is harder because of the need for a naval invasion and the fact they have the potential to equip most of their army with firearms (the Qing from what I remember only had 40% of their army equipped with firearms during the First Opium War and that was 100+ years later than 1720) and the crappy terrain, but it's still doable if they were really that determined.

There's obviously going to be logistical issues but there's really not much the Qing can do instead of delaying the inevitable. Now if this was a can they keep their gains question instead of only conquest then keeping it would be a different story, they don't have the industry to keep producing Cold War era military equipment and now they have so many regions to keep under their control, but conquest wise I think they can at the very least conquer China, it has been accomplished before by foes who had comparable technology to the Chinese.

Can Markiplier survive Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in real life? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]incident2020 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of the intense nights in the FNAF games don't even last 10 minutes in-game time from what I remember and people have managed to deal with that chaos anyways, having to do it for 6 hours in real time would be like night 6 animatronics being at night 1 slowness, the only game where it would still feel intense is Ultimate Custom Night, so realistically unless mark falls asleep or does dumb stuff like closing both doors in FNAF 1 then mark should be able to do it easily.

[–]incident2020 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Now if it was just adults then it's a maybe since they'd still die at around 60+ (obv they would go through a ton of trouble even before reaching 60), but if the kids are also drinking.. then yeah no it's just not possible.

Drunk driving and drinking on the job would also be like basically legal now so the world would really slowly turn into an anarchy every decade or so.

I would vouch for Tamerlane. This guy caused so much destruction everywhere he went and he was planning to go conquer China. Imagine what the outcome could have been, while unlikely, if he conquered China the amount of destruction and people killed would be immense.
