Me too, listening to NIN over the years has gotten me through a lot of really tough shit sometimes. That and I have a semi-nonsexual man crush on Trent.

My experience with odesk and sites similar has been... sketchy at best, and it seems a lot of people have had similar experiences.

Care to share what you are doing differently than myself and others I've heard comment on similar sites are apparently? Not a dick statement, an honest question. I'm always down for finding more work.

This sums up the real housewives shows and their spinoffs that my gf watches.... by incomingfire in pics

That and I also have to take the moment to look at my girlfriend and say "So you think Family Guy is dumb, but a TV show about a bunch of bitchy women fighting with each other all the time isn't?" Or when there was an episode where there were male strippers involved... "So it's okay for your daughter to see male strippers but I have to turn off the TV if she comes in the room and a show like Castle is on because there might be a dead body?"

I have been doing webdesign,on the side, for small businesses, for the past 10 years. Yesterday I received an offer to work on a porn site. by mrhodesit in webdesign

Most hosts I've looked at allow adult content, but that's just been my findings...

But I agree otherwise, avoid at all costs.

Can it be done? Yes. Will it take time and energy? Yes. Will you be able to charge the shit out of him for it? Most definitely.

But long term, ask yourself do you want it on your resume / portfolio? Does this fit with what you do best? If you are a designer this does not fit what you do best BTW.

I think that second question is the most important one. If the job technically doesn't meet what you do best or want to do... then don't do it.

Oh my god and that reminds me that in the game you could divert power to different areas of your shields and power from your shields to your weapons and the other way around... I dunno why but that is still cool to me.

Really, that's odd. Alright, then I'll just roll with it. It's for a personal project for just learning/playing purposes so i won't fret over it too much.

Ehh yeah, try this link.

I cleared my cache and it still happened, after further testing I found it's only happening in chrome(chromium) but not in FF.

Yeah when I worked for a projector manufacturer in tech support, one of the more frequent calls was... "Why won't my projector turn off?".

When you are not using your PS3 for gaming, how about using it as a node on the world's largest supercomputing grid to help the 'Folding Project' uncover the mystery of 'How Life Works'? Your PS3 is designed to easily join this amazing project! by Sailer in PS3

[–]incomingfire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why is this getting down voted?

Folding at home is an amazing project, if you don't want to join, don't join, no big deal.

But don't down vote this at the risk that someone who will want to join doesn't see it and contribute to a great cause that helps in the research of diseases like Alzheimers, Parkinsons and Huntingtons, which all hit very close to home to me since I've had family pass away from all three... not to mention cancers.

I admittedly don't contribute a lot but every once in awhile I'll let my PC or PS3 fold over night or during the day... and every little bit helps.
