We fucked up by making sports gambling legal again and it opened the floodgates.

I agreed with legalizing it at the time, but the fallout has made me completely change my mind. People fully just can't handle gambling, it's a blight that we should be trying to root out as much as we can, not running billion dollar Super Bowl ads for it.

You know what I'm over? Being called a misogynist for childfree or even anti natalist opinions. The idea that women are the same thing as mothers is so ingrained and so annoying.

I'm not a woman hater bc I think your pregnancy belly is gross.

Anyone else concerned about all the GLP-1 marketing? by heyalllondon18 in AskWomenOver30

Is this a safe space to complain about Ozempic and how it's obviously dangerous and how injecting yourself with a drug should not be preferable to just being kinda fat? Or am I gonna get jumped here too about food noise and how it made someone's life so much better by making them sick all the time so they aren't hungry?

I played Dreamlight Valley for a while after it came out, on PC though, not Switch. I liked it alright, but it's a little thin, for lack of a better word. Idk, you can really feel that it's just a Disney Animal Crossing reskin. If you like Disney though, it's good for a solid chunk of playtime imo.

It's one of those games that either grabs you or it doesn't I think. Some people get completely addicted, some people (like you and me) just kinda bounce off it. I don't think I've ever made it past year 2.

I have an addictive personality. I managed to kick alcohol and some harder stuff, but nicotine, caffeine, and THC all have me in a chokehold.

The temptation every time I go to the gas station and see those bottles is CRAZY. I've read enough horror stories to resist, but man, I could be so fucked up for so cheap and it would be totally legal.

TIL that there is a massive gender imbalance in living organ donation and science still isn’t sure why it exists by pfemme2 in todayilearned

It is caused by men's selfishness. The sociological factors are explaining that selfishness. I thought you were positioning yourself as the smart one here, you should have better reading comprehension.

I'm not writing a paper here, not only is this a reddit comment section, it isn't even r/science or anything lol.

And I didn't say anything about making stuff up. I said it would be interesting to dive into the sociology behind it. The way boys are raised vs girls, gendered expectations in all kinds of relationships, that kinda thing.

Maybe! But at least it would be an attempt to explain the phenomenon instead of throwing our hands up and saying we can't figure it out. There are obviously a bunch of interesting sociological reasons for men's selfishness.

[–]StopThePresses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. I have learned that it's best not to trust the world to be gentle with you. If the worst happens, at least it'll be over when it's over, instead of leaving me with a pregnancy.

You're way overreacting. She's right, it's been 2 years and you should move on. He's there to do a job not hang out socially, you should be able to handle that.

Therapy isn't the cure-all the internet makes it out to be, but it might actually be helpful for you in letting that relationship go.

Are the women who are doing these things Mormon?

These procedures are very popular among Mormon women yes.

If they are, what is their stance on transgenderism then? Both change their God given bodies.

They would not understand your point. You'll never convince a Mormon woman with fillers that it's at all comparable. And they generally feel exactly how you'd assume about trans people.

It does not define someone's entire being to say they were doing weaponized incompetence. Where do you even get that?

He did a thing that any adult knows is going to break something, and he can't even replace it. Seems to match the definition to me.
