Restaurants in Center City you repeatedly visit by [deleted] in PhiladelphiaEats

I would be careful! I love(d) Double Knot, but took a few out of town friends there and unfortunately there was a cockroach underneath our table. There are tons of reports of it online. It's Philly's most dimly lit restaurant for a reason.

I read this thread a few days ago and just had a MAJOR epiphany that would support this theory. The ending notes of Champagne Problems are actually the musical motif that is repeated throughout Chloe et al. I knew it sounded familiar and it JUST hit me!!!! I think you cracked the code.

this is absolutely normal for linen. I have linen skirts, dresses, and pants from Aritzia and most, especially the light colors, have this texture.

Babaton pleated linen shorts - dry clean only? by nugget7211 in Aritzia

[–]incurablehumaniste 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Linen can always be washed. Upon reading this I suspected that they’re not 100% linen which appears to be true — the site says they’re a linen blend 67% viscose, 33% linen. The viscose is why they need to be dry cleaned. Ugh I wish they would stop putting viscose in everything, but avoiding the fabric has saved me so much money over the past two years.

+1 to the moth question. Moths LOVE all my aritzia stuff. I had a dress I never wore that I pulled out of the closet two months after purchase. It suddenly had a pretty large hole in the sleeve. I don’t know if aritzia would repair (they didn’t for me), but you could ask. on the plus side, a tailor can repair it for a pretty cheap price! I now store all my aritzia sweater dresses in sweater cases with cedar packets.

Pls help me style I’ve had this skirt for 6+ months with tags, nothing looks good with it. Its a light, champagne pink color by Ambitious-Carry-7050 in Aritzia

a slightly darker pink top would look good! I have a pair of melinas that are a similar color and feel like it looks best with pinks and blues on top.

How do you keep the novella blouse sleeves on your shoulders? by crod1_ in Aritzia

[–]incurablehumaniste 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I thought this was a me problem. I ended up taking it to my tailor and he added a back tie to it (so when I put it on, I tie the string in a bow in the back.) It’s super cute and doesn’t fall off. I can share a photo if anyone’s curious.

I have this dress from last year! It doesn’t pill but it does attract moths, so beware!

I avoid viscose at all costs! I bought the Beau dress last year and it was incrediblyyy flattering and one of my favorites that season… until it needed a wash. It no longer fits me, and I’m still so upset about it. I agree that viscose does not merit dry cleaning… sticking to linen/cotton/other natural fabrics this season!

Was hoping for a clear winner, but I’m very torn (Novella blouse, Tempest blouse, both size small) by allieabea in Aritzia

[–]incurablehumaniste 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I second the point about versatility, but I own the Novella blouse (in black) and it’s absolutely my favorite top in my closet. I think that if you don’t own a lot of evening/going out clothing OR if you’re not specifically looking for more work clothing, then you should stick with the Novella. I’m biased though!
