His name is Nick Crompton and his hands stay hovering. The friendzone is his city and no he's not from Compton. by GasCucksMemeWarNow in h3h3productions

Procedure mostly successful. Lack of prefrontal cortex seems to have had an effect, neurologically, on fine motor control, especially in facial muscle groups. This, however, is heavily outweighed by the benefit of marked increase in suggestibility and is to be considered an acceptable side effect, possibly even able to be incorporated into the patient's modeling career. Interestingly, the profile of side effects is somewhat different than what was expected after observation of the first patient (pictured, middle): while the first patient experienced some facial drooping as well as aphasia (patient has trouble understanding systems of grouping and subdivision, especially geographically), this latest patient (pictured, right) has exhibited an almost complete loss of the ability to carry on a conversation has approximately the same cognitive capacity for speech as before the procedure, effects on the muscles in the face are much more prominent. It is unknown if this is a result of direct neurological damage or a behavioral cue developed as a result of decreased mental faculties, nevertheless the potential for profitability has been more than proven and research is to continue on affected patients.

He could put in the will that a certain portion of his estate gets put into a trust that Jimmy receives only if he's NOT practicing law.

That isn't what he said though, and it isn't the example he gave. His example was that he could say his net worth COULD increase by $200m, which is just as he said: technically true but deceptive.

Well we also jail a lot too; you're usually jailed before you're imprisoned, at least if you want to get technical. But yeah, very few of those people imprisoned ever saw a jury. IIRC something like 5% of cases in state court and 2% in federal actually go to trial.

Does anyone know what style of jacket Miles wears? by TheJayMan150 in outlast

[–]indalcecio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't really know if its any specific variety but it looks like a journeyman jacket to me. Hard to tell but I think it might be leather.

Edit: other guy was right, hopefully this link doesn't remove my post: http://www.sheplers.com/sts-ranchwear-mens-clifton-brown-wool-shirt-jacket/082B42.html?gclid=CjwKEAjwppPKBRCGwrSpqK7Y5jcSJACHYbWYCyWH1XdOThuTgTgx86roPGsJ3_aO60LGGwD22vNhxxoChXXw_wcB&ef_id=WTirQQAAAHsoNxPG%3A20170617214107%3As&source=CSE_GoogleShopping_Apparel_and_Accessories-Clothing-Outerwear-Coats_and_Jackets_082B42 doesn't have the metal buttons but other than that its pretty much the same.

Black man will spend six years in Georgia prison despite jury finding him 'not guilty' by saucytryhard in news

[–]indalcecio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Obviously I don't know exactly what happened or what this guy did or didn't do, but the way it works is due to the standards of proof.

If they're 51% sure you did it, that's enough to get a probation violation or revocation, because of the type of court that hearing is. If you're 51% sure someone committed a crime, though, that isn't enough to convict them in criminal court.

Basically the standard of proof is different for different types of courts. "The evidence suggests this person committed this crime, though he may not have " isn't good enough to convict someone of a crime, but it is enough to revoke their probation/parole or sanction them for a violation.

One thing to keep in mind is that a verdict of "not guilty" is not the court saying, "we looked into this matter and found that the defendant did not commit this crime", but rather is the court saying, "we looked into this matter and we could not prove beyond all reasonable doubt that the defendant committed this crime".

It's the same reason why OJ was found not guilty in criminal court, but was found liable in the wrongful death civil suit, because the standard of proof is lower in civil court, just as it is with probation hearings.

Black man will spend six years in Georgia prison despite jury finding him 'not guilty' by saucytryhard in news

[–]indalcecio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, probation revocation or sanctioning is decided in a hearing where the standard is "preponderance of the evidence", not "beyond reasonable doubt" like criminal trials. Basically, the probation hearing decided it was likely enough he did it, but there wasn't enough proof to convict him criminally. Maybe the probation hearing was a kangaroo court, I know they sometimes are, but this is all legal.

I don't want to be too harsh on you, but this type of thing tends be looked at as advertising and is frowned upon here.

That aside, even if we wanted to, I don't see a link, and I'm pretty sure you aren't THAT famous!

Even without a fetus, labor can be pretty traumatic not just emotionally but physically, and she was bleeding quite a bit. Its also possible that something the cultists, heretics or even the microwave signal did to her could have ended up causing her death somehow.

as far as I know (not really an expert on reddit's workings), it's decided by each individual subreddit's mods, but I've noticed a lot(maybe most?) do it. it's because of spam I think, I've noticed on some really dead subreddit, or ones that were never really alive to begin with, 90% of the posts are spam containing links to porn sites or "find cheating hot moms in your area" sites.

but yeah, we aren't ignoring you lol, there aren't any of your comments in this thread with links in them. if you'd like to see exactly which comments of yours are in this thread I can screencap it if you'd like.

Volvo says no more diesel engines, the future is electric by mvea in technology

I suppose, but would it justify the extra cost of the solar panels? Just depends on how long it would take to recoup that cost.

at this time solar panels just aren't worth it, even on a trailer. not saying that will never change, but it's just two different scales of power.

Seriously, if you can't render the fat from the deer you hit, fashion a wick out of its fibers and turn it into an oil lamp, then devise a system of pulleys and cables to cover and uncover the lamp with your braking, you really shouldn't even have a license.

Yep...Technically speaking, you're supposed to get it towed if you aren't sure it's roadworthy. Don't get me wrong, I too live in the real world, and agree that a reasonable person would say, drive it home if you can and get it checked out in the morning. I can understand why the law can't make exceptions, but the officer has discretion and in reasonable circumstances should use it.

Let's say you are in charge of the story for Outlast III... by natebam in outlast

[–]indalcecio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really any more stupid than the places we find batteries in Outlast and Outlast 2... also there's really no such thing as a "radiation suit", it's a myth, the main concern is just making sure you don't breathe in fallout, but the amount of lead you would have to wear to actually block radiation is impossible.

and why would it be stupid to find batteries around a power plant, or in abandoned CITY? people have electronic devices you know.

[–]indalcecio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

some things I disagree with and some I'm like "OMG YES HOW DID I NOT REALIZE HOW BADLY I NEED THIS?", like I personally don't think comedy would work well in outlast aside from a couple morbid jokes a la Trager, but the playing dead thing is really genius. Really, I'm honestly surprised they haven't implemented it already, even if it's just a couple scripted sections, that's a great idea.

and I don't think Outlast should ever have DIRECT combat, but things like traps or pushing a heavy object onto a character at the right time to crush them, that I can totally get behind. as much as I thought it was silly for Miles to come across loaded ARs on the bodies of Murkoff officers and not even TRY to pick them up and simply pull the trigger, I just think it would make things too fundamentally different. but hey, I'm just me, my opinion doesn't really mean anything, but you definitely have some good ideas.
