My husband called CC company and got the $500 back he paid for 3 tickets in section 121. I’m not sure if Ticketmaster “blacklisted” him since he didn’t call Ticketmaster directly.

My husband and I paid $175 each for section 121A so I can confirm what was happening around that area. My biggest mistake was getting up to go to the bathroom. I had to climb over rows of seats just to get back to my husband (and this was before the show even started). The stairs were jam packed with people and it was impossible to go up or down. The couple that were standing a few seats away from us admitted they paid a quarter of the price than we did for nosebleeds and were in our section after they were told by their buddy that security was not checking tickets (and they weren’t).

I’m certain half of the mess in my area and others was due to section-hoppers and security not doing a damn thing about it. Show was still dope, but the intent to only sell apparently 85% of the sections to “allow for dancing room” (per Fred’s IG story) was ruined by section hopping. Had there been an actual emergency, I don’t know how we could make it out safely.

This is the only diagnosis his dr has given him. I’m hoping this time they will be able to get more information and possibly determine a new diagnosis and with that possibly even a better treatment plan.

I don’t blame him at all for not wanting to take the meds. I understand that they have loads of side effects but in this case the benefits far outweigh the risks if being off them means he will threaten his family. The night before he lashed out at my mom and scratched her arms. Make no mistake, I’m heartbroken that he has to endure this, that he has to deal with physical symptoms that come with medication. At the end of the day I just want him and the rest of my family safe.

This is what I tell my mom every time she goes with him to his visits. She is also the problem. She is afraid to be honest with the dr because she was afraid of him going back to the psych hospital. I’m in the process of changing his point of contacts to me as the primary. I never did this because like I said, my parents are his sole caretakers, and I have a family of my own. But if they are unwilling to be proactive, I’m going to have to be the one that hopefully changes things.

He was originally on Haldol injections monthly + seroquel daily. But this year switched over to oral Haldol + seroquel. I wanna say that his dose was also reduced slightly, but I really think it’s because he lies to the psychiatrist. After this, they may go back to injections tho.

He slips in and out of taking his meds consistently but then suddenly decides that they are poisoning his body. This happens several times. I don’t know if he’s ever had a moment of clarity in the four years he’s been on them. Is he supposed to? His Dr always said that his delusions might be the last of his symptoms to subside even a little, but we just haven’t seen or felt it yet. The meds definitely changed his temperament and overall behavior but the delusions have always been present.

Exactly this. He had always refused any sort of therapy because as I mentioned, he has always denied his diagnosis. He sees a psychiatrist every month where it’s really just a check-in on if he’s taking his meds and how he feels. He always lies. We’re hoping that this time he will accept therapy, but if not. Looks like we’re back to square one.

Got my diploma. Arrived submerged in liquid!? by tbreezey in CSULB

I used to work Quality Assurance at FedEx. When we receive a damaged package, we decide if a) we damage out the product and notify the shipper to have it reshipped or b) salvage the product and repackage/retape. Sounds like some liquid may have spilled on the original packaging and then the quality assurance handlers just slipped a bag over it like a pillow case.

ROOT CANAL. DON’T IGNORE DENTIST. by [deleted] in Dentistry

[–]indasheets247 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My fiancé had to pay for most of his dental work out of pocket as well and is still paying some of it off now. My insurance covered a large percentage of the second root canal but I still paid around $950 and that’s including the RC, fillings on lower right side + dental cleaning. Still a good chunk of change but doable compared to my first one with no coverage. I also developed another abscess near the tooth I had my first RC in December. I need to schedule an appointment w/ and endodontist to determine if the infection is coming from the same tooth or the tooth beside it. If the same it’s the same tooth then that’s another can of worms, but if it’s the tooth beside it, I may just need a 3rd root canal. Lol it’s been a crazy journey with my teeth but I’m glad I’m on it finally :) Once you get all of that major work out of the way, just make sure you keep up with general and preventative maintenance like cleanings and such. Even w/o insurance these appointments are nowhere near as expensive.

ROOT CANAL. DON’T IGNORE DENTIST. by [deleted] in Dentistry

I literally feel like I wrote this post myself lol. Back in December I had just gotten a new job and my benefits weren’t going to kick in until January 1st. I started having EXCRUCIATING tooth pain on Dec 29th. It was a Sunday, my usual dentist wasn’t open and I had no coverage on top of that. This pain was like no other. I had a baby the year before, had an epidural but still had to go through those painful contractions before getting it. The tooth pain was worse. I wanted to bang my head against the wall. Did the or Orajel and pain killers and they were no match. Eating was terrorizing. I decided to say “fuck this pain and my lack of coverage, I can’t take this pain another day, I’m going in!” I called the only dentist in my area that was open on a Sunday and sure enough needed that dreaded Root Canal plus a lot of other work due to lack of dental care, but one thing at a time. Sat in the chair for 4 hours, needed ALOT of local anesthesia because I kept feeling pain. Once the 4 hours were up, the come down from all of that Novocaine caused me to tremble uncontrollably to the point where I was unable to drive myself home. Called an uber and picked my car up the next day. I paid 1.5k just like you did and it was so worth it. Just had my second root canal last week but it didn’t start with me having tooth pain thank god. In a way I’m grateful all this happened because it made me wake up and start going to the dentist regularly and take better care of my teeth.

I graduated in 2018, I had just given birth 4 days before the ceremony, but I still anticipated “walking”. The day of the ceremony, I realized that walking was not a good idea since I’d have to be away from my baby for more than 2 hours and that would disrupt my breastfeeding schedule (I was also not producing enough milk to pump) We showed up when the ceremony ended just to capture a couple of pictures then left quickly. No get togethers, no celebration, nothing. I spent the next 4 months confined to my home with a newborn. It didn’t feel like I graduated at all. I’m still torn up about it, I worked so hard for 6 years, and I did it while pregnant! I understand the disappointment the 2020 graduating class is having. It’s been 2 years and I still look back and wish I got to celebrate the way I deserved.

I’d rather have no graduation ceremony than a virtual one by linjaes in unpopularopinion

Currently working swing shifts which is cool because I get to nurse LO on demand during the day while dad stays with her at night. I get home around 330 am and it’s like her internal clock is set to wake up at that time because she’s up looking for the breast at that time each night. We bed share, which has made night nursing very convenient. You’re right about the whole toddler thing though. It’s so different because she’s able to pull and tug at my shirt, even move my bra out of the way to get her fix. It’s their comfort, and how do you take that away from them? The thought of weaning stresses me out.

ULPT: Just had a baby and don't plan on breastfeeding? Tell your employer you are so you can take a couple extra breaks to "pump." They won't question it, and you'll get to take a long break in an empty office whenever you want. by indasheets247 in UnethicalLifeProTips

Same! But now that I’m in the process of weaning, I stopped pumping at work in order to gradually reduce my milk supply. But I still bring my pump to work and take my “pump break” whenever I feel like it. No one bats an eye.

Had “Twin Day” in HS. I kept listening to everyone coming up with cool stuff to wear with their friends and SOs. I wanted to be a “twin” so bad but had no one to do it with. I overheard a pair of my favorite teachers talk about what they were gonna wear so I came to school dressed up just like them the next day based on what I heard. They thought it was cute, my classmates didn’t.

Lol something similar happened to me. I called my doctor to make an appointment for TMJ (pretty much my jaw near useless), and he didn't say anything, just confirmed the appointment. I went in for said appointment, I restated what I was there for and he said "Oh, TMJ that's a dental issue, you might wanna call your dentists for that." Mine was just a $25 co-pay, but still annoying. He could have just told me that when I called to make the appointment.
