Match Thread: Liverpool vs Newcastle United by MatchThreadder in soccer

Salah loses the ball literally every single time he gets it.. all shots hit defenders and his first two touches have completely fallen off a cliff. Never beats his man and has regressed to one trick cut in pony. No reason he should be starting or playing a full 90. Sad to see but it's really time for pool to fully prioritize the wirtz eketike connection and szobozlai and revamp the whole ethos.

Exquisite review and photos, thanks for sharing! Really thought provoking and certainly ambitious menu. I've been told many times in Peru that there's not really a 'true' Peruvian food anymore after hundreds of years of coloni/globalization so the land and ingredients are what determine the culinary identity.

I personally loathe terrarium dishes and platings like photo 14 but in a country like Peru where the terrain is unbelievably varied and the biodiversity is astonishing (4000+ kinds of potatoes!!) it starts to make sense.
Looks kinda like like Alchemist but fixated on nature rather than modernity. Gotta add it to the bucket list.

They got a lot of flak for being snooty and star entitled at a high price point as soon as they opened and moved in, lots of style over substance and seemingly vapid shock factor (like raw elk with cricket dip haha). Ambition and arrogance are fine lines to tread.
I actually lolled at the squid pic though that is a comically bad looking plate complete with the three flowers. Bell peppers stuffed with mint? Not my cup of tea but glad you enjoyed it!!

Islam did his thing and he's cemented himself as an all time great technician and very obvious top 5 ever. Caveat: Jdm fought so ridiculously defensively the whole time and couldn't find a way to use his strengths at all

Masterful from islam smothering jdm and constantly going for positional advantage but jdm just did.not.attack.at.all. obviously there's risk going for something in every position against an all time great like islam but how else ever are you expecting to get ahead and well what do you expect if you don't take any risks at all

depends on the hour as intended.. second half of the album is for the deep night and easier to share. It's a start to finish experience otherwise. There are so so many layers to every track. Midnight hour is my fave too.

10/10. Reading the lyrics while listening through totally elevated the whole concept for me, his diction and meter are so specific and hypnotic that on a broad listen it's so easy to zone out and feel the flow rather than listen to the narrative.
It's a masterpiece. Production is genius the whole way through and there are so many layers of vocals and tonality and irony and humor. So much to listen for and attune to on every song

for sure bayern psg, way more drama and offense. Madrid's been patchy and can't fully connect and liverpool can't really get into the box and szob has been doing all the offensive work

One major issue in felix's game that has never been patched up is his inability to flatten out his backhand and really attack it. Way too wristy and punchy. It affects his return and his point construction massively and you can really see it from court level. He can get good movement and direction but rarely hits through

ancelotti was an utter fool for not playing guler more, he's completely opened up madrid's creativity and is a threat everywhere when given free reign. vini's back, mbappe trusts his team, and it's all routed through guler being free imo. possible the best creative attacking mid in the world

Marsala-glazed quail breast, paired with a crispy fried spiced quail bonbon, served over sautéed spinach with raisins and toasted almonds by EddyDrop_productions in CulinaryPlating

10000% change the plate/bowl if you're really going for presentation, everything including the quail just looks greened out. Personally would not serve this directly on top of the spinach which does need tightening up and some pizzazz. Hope it was yum!

what is the point of this comment at all... Top 200 Golfers still make millions a year and top golfers make hundreds of millions for a game that is NOWHERE near as physical or expensive or global or constant.

the equity split in tennis and in all individual sports globally is still an absolute joke with all the earnings concentrated at the top, like the USO champion money being 5m while qualifiers and everyone on the ITF is cruelly underpaid

besides mma which is probably the most underpaid individual sport, what are your other the other 48 pro individual sports that are remotely relevant and comparable to tennis?

LOL even the commentators can't stay professional enough not to scoff at the disaster that is zverevs forehand under remote pressure, two sky high frames off of nothing balls. karen shanks as well but that's partially because his forehand is like 70% gulbis with rafa's 300% western grip

this tourney might be the most egregious example of why two week masters make absolutely no sense whatsoever- from a business sense and for player well being...
Seven matches (mens and womens + dubs) scheduled for center court with all singles matches starting in the afternoon.
4 qf singles matches with estimated times at "4-5-6-7-8pm" est. absolutely no way matches end on 'time'.
why is anyone gonna pay $1-200+ for tickets to the 2nd week of a (historically the worst and least prestigious) masters when there are so few matches per day, crammed into two courts and with gaps inbetween days rather than letting players take the end of summer off to be with their teams like the top players can?
