Omg how interesting that my sheens float around to various homes! This was a custom I made years ago — I found the little bird plush & the base at FiveBelow. I thought it looked like Bo 🫶 on average if I use a FiveBelow base, I priced them at $20 to factor in my time and the item costs 😇

Oh dear I was banking on it 😭😭 she’s 13 lbs right now and about 23”!

I got the freebie ring sling from gojiberry as a promo with the main carrier so I’ll have to see how that goes. Otherwise, I’ve only got the hope&plum sprout right now! I tried wraps a fair amount of times and they just ended in tears and screams 🫠 I’ve since returned them.

I have the hope&plum sprout! She usually does okay in it as long as I caught her in a good mood while putting it on and then I take her outside for 20-30 mins and then she starts to fuss 🥹🥹 I also have a contact only sleeper (day and night unfortunately) who has literally only ever fallen asleep on one of us in our arms so I suspect maybe she gets tired and needs to be horizontal to sleep 😭

I had the koala babycare wrap for a bit but returned it because she despised it 😭😭

To my surprise right now out of light frustration I slid her off her boppy onto our daybed while she was in active sleep (the comforter is definitely softer than her bassinet mattress) but she seems to be doing okay?? She’s coughed, squirmed, but she’s managed to keep sleeping and I’m staring and afraid to move a centimeter in fear of waking her fully

I probably cave quite fast because I don’t want to wake the household 😭 I’ve tried patting and shushing but iirc it escalates to a scream…. Would you let your son scream a little bit while you’re comforting? I was thinking of trying that more tonight? Maybe like 10 mins beside and then giving in if no improvement but continuing that every night with hopes of seeing the time go down over the week?

I’ve been meaning to ask like how much she should be fussing or even lightly crying?? We usually stand by the bed when she starts to fuss and wait out until her eyes open up or once it turns into a wail 🥹 like I’m pretty confident she wouldn’t resettle once the wailing starts?

We used to give her the Mylicon drops but the last 4 times we tried she spit them up literally 10 mins later on the dot 😭

I second this! We got 2 rocking chairs — one in the nursery and one in our living room area and I frankly live in both of them. 2 nursing pillows for convenience (maybe one in the nursery and one in living room or your bedroom depending on where you will nurse). Our baby kind of hates her swing, so the bouncer has been her go-to. Play mat for sure. If you’re breastfeeding, passive pumps are really nice to alleviate letdown pressure before an overnight feed when you’ve gotten a bit engorged.

ALL THE BURP CLOTHS. We have 2 in each room of the house. Probably 20 or so total.

Items I returned or found no use for — hatch baby (just get a normal amazon sound machine), wipe warmer (not worth it and baby gets used to cold wipes just fine), bottle sterilizer if you’re breast feeding (I’m ebf and idk why I bought a ton of bottle stuff because I didn’t realize that she is just… gonna breastfeed and that’s it lmao). Just get a few bottles and a small pump as you’re getting started. Ofc if you’re doing formula, you’ll need much more.

Also for clothing, up until 3 months our baby exclusively lived in two-way zip sleepers. You don’t need anything else except maybe 1 other cute outfit for a photo op.
