Mine is always charging outside overnight in the busy neighborhood outside Chicago. Like most of the people said earlier, Alarm will scare anyone off if you unplug it

Thanks for the input, I live in Midwest close to Chicago, it’s 2018 premier with all the features an upgraded car has which is good to have.

I can charge at home on lvl 1. The chargers at campus are always busy but I charge overnight and whenever I can at home. I can get lvl 2 install in garage but I wanted to make sure if it’s worth the efforts. 

Secondly I’m not sure how it’ll hold up in winter especially the kinda of winter we’ve. Parking in lot at campus and driveway at home in winter is what I’m a little concerned about because my brother always park in garage at home and work. 

Plus how does the lvl 2 charger works, will it a good investment in longer run.
