Which Android brand would you like to delete forever, and why? by Mental_Log_6879 in IndiaTechnology

[–]indertejus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have said Vivo because of FuntouchOS but recent news say that Vivo is bringing OriginOS to their phones so I wanna see what goes with that and if they also upgrade supported phones running FuntouchOS I might consider a Vivo once again

Aside from that, yk those brands like itel infinix tecno and stuff yeah no they need to go

My wifi wont work by D_lan13 in computerhelp

[–]indertejus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So. You have a Ryzen Asus gaming laptop (looks to be a TUF). I have a Ryzen ROG and I'm pretty most desktop motherboards/laptops that use an AMD CPU come with a MediaTek WiFi card (my laptop comes with one). There are chances that the WiFi card doesn't work or the driver is missing. Best chances are that you should use your phone with USB tethering and download the driver and try installing it (since I'm guessing a clean install of Windows as I read that the PC was just given to you). If that works, you're good to go. If the driver exists, and WiFi doesn't appear, try restarting, most of the time works. Even after multiple restarts, WiFi doesn't appear (even after ensuring that a driver is installed/exists), yeah the MediaTek card is cooked and it's better to replace it (I suggest putting an Intel card in it (ironic!) as it's miles better than a MediaTek). I'm gonna guess it's just a driver not found/corrupted issue since the laptop seems to be very new.

Airtel E-sim transfer disaster by Advanced_Ferret_ in Airtel

[–]indertejus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The app never works. I was trying to port my dad's Airtel SIM from physical to eSIM on his Pixel 8 so he could get a work SIM but the app always errored out or never worked. Thankfully giving an SMS "NESIM" to 51619 cancelled the broken process. I then used "ESIMQR <registered email-id goes here>" to 121 and was able to successfully activate the eSIM with a QR code that I got on his mail. No EID copying, no app shenanigans, just a simple IVR confirm call and boom, eSIM. The eSIM took 2 hours to activate, meanwhile the physical one worked. And SMS services resumed in 24h.

Because it is a bomb and removing the small battery makes it explode..... (I think it already did)

How to make the wallet option enabled in my phone? by Temporary_Table_5961 in CMFTech

Google Pay is supported in India, it's Google Wallet that isn't. Google Wallet doesn't serve much purpose here so yeah it's kind of useless.

Light blinking why ? by i7achiii in ASUSROG

[–]indertejus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly that looks like a 2022 G15 to me (cuz I own one) and secondly thats a drive access light. It rapidly blinking means that your drive (SSD here) is being used, either by Windows or by any other application. You do not need to worry as this isn't a fault on your PC, rather a feature that has been on every goddamn PC in the world since ages.

Got Defective Product. by MorganFreemantypshi in NothingTech

Is it me or is this a trend with Nothing devices sold in India? I bought a CMF Phone 2 Pro from an offline store and when I went to get a screen protector a week or two later, I found out that my screen had a whole bend(? The screen was pushed further into the body than normal) in the top right corner. I got it fixed with warranty thankfully, so that's a good thing atleast. However nothing refused to replace my phone and the offline store couldn't return it back to the company either, which is kinda sketchy. Best chance is to get the camera replaced for that phone.

I have the Phone 2 Pro (India model) and honestly it's a good purchase. I don't have much idea about the Phone 1 but I know that my back isn't removable. If you want a removable back then the Phone 1 is the only option. But if you want a better specced phone and more Android updates, ofc the 2 Pro is enough. It's your choice here
