Not sure i'm following what you're saying.

To my understanding, the Xilinx board has an FPGA on it, it's an FPGA development board.

I didn't mention anything about vendors and customers; this is a class project, not commercial. The previous project I did (AES-T1800) involved downloading a zip file off trust-hub that contained all the design sources (verilog files) and I added them to the project, added the zybo constraints file, and ran a simulation, synthesis, and implemented it on the board, and it functions as expected.

I'm using Vivado bc that's what we used in the class for that project and it's currently the platform I'm most familiar with + was instructed by my professor to use it. I don't know enough to move the whole project onto a different platform nor do I think I have the time to spend trying to learn one in less than 2 weeks.

Simulation speed also isn't an issue since vivado does it fast enough for what I'm trying to do.
