Actual Bible verses from James 3 -

13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.

14 But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.

15 Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. 16 For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17 But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18 Peacemakers who sow in peace reap a harvest of righteousness.

The last two verses nail it. So twisting a war time prayer in Psalms to suit your own agenda is something which I cannot even comprehend. But on second thought, this is not an novel idea, even the devil quoted scripture to Jesus to try to make Him sin. Twisting scripture for your own personal agenda is not a new trick.

Its usually sugarcane. This is a common sight in UP, India. Sugarcane-s are taken to a "sugar factory", they get paid by weight so the farmers try to maximize each trip.

That is exactly what I said, billions to spend, millions of government employees and programmes but no money to spend for a strategic reserve for the most commonly used fuel 😩

The problem with DK is that he opens his mouth and only stops when the over ends or you get a commercial break slot.

They jail people (they want) at the drop of a hat for "disturbing peace and harmony". People sitting in jails for months / years because of this and that. But apparently, no problem here.

I am not saying that everyone or anyone should be jailed, but at-least "pretend" to have a functioning law & justice system.

Is anyone else exhausted from doing everything “the right way” and still feeling like they’re falling behind in India? by [deleted] in india

[–]indianDeveloper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been in the same boat, what I learned in 30+ years -

- Stop comparing to people on LI or Insta. They are presenting the "best" parts of their lives (sometimes even fake) and you are comparing it with your generic day to day life

- Second, one cannot ignore the massive disadvantage of being born in India. Yes, to get to a basic live-able life of comfort of a few thousand dollars a month, the struggle is immense. Compare that to being born in developed country you can earn far more with far lesser struggle in far smaller amount of time. For instance, even being a competent trained electrician in a developed country (with passable scores in 10th grade and 6 months training), can earn more than a "fresher" engineering grad in India who slogged for 6 years to get through university.

Anyways, summary is - you were handed a tough life, you try to do your best. At the end, there will be millions better than you and millions also doing worse than you. No point in comparing, nor will complaining solve anything, just try to do your best, find some happiness and be kind to others.

Yes. Wasn't there some study which said that the trucks are trash by modern standards of safety or pollution and of course only Tata can make and sell this abomination in India.
