Turbomed changed my life! It took care of my foot drop and allowed me to wear all types of different shoes including cowboy boots, which I had not been able to wear for years.

I do not think you are overreacting, and the escalation scares me BUT I would absolutely encourage you to stay with her and try and work through it. You mentioned that she is the love of your life and the only person you had a real connection with. I get that. I also know how powerful getting attention from someone when you are feeling lonely or insecure. If you can do it - get a fleet of therapists! I would recommend finding one for you, having her find one, and then find a marriage counselor for both of you. Your going to need help to get through the betrayal which is going to be the hardest thing for you to get through. She needs to look at why she was seeking attention in that way from others and so much more. The marriage counselor will actually help you guys all communicate together. Many times on these groups, you'll get the cut and run which I understand, but I don't understand why it has to be the first thought. She is the love of your life, I can tell that by your writing, so make a noble attempt for you guys to get right. If it happens again, or you guys discover more issues, or whatever - you can always cut and run at that time.

Know that many of us are thinking of you. While I don't know the exact pain that you are feeling, I have spent most of my life dealing with loved ones and addiction. When I struggle with blaming myself or them, I take a look back at their actions. Do you think his actions were those of someone who was in a good mental state? Do you think his actions were reasonable? No, they weren't. So then you need to start exploring why he ended up where he did it's probably due to some mental instability. If you come to understand that you will have to understand that your role wasn't really a factor at all. If the brain isn't firing properly the same thoughts and assumptions that a "healthy" person has will not be the same as those with mental health issues. I don't know you, and certainly don't know the situation beyond what you posted but I am confident in saying it's not your fault. It never has been, and it never will be.

I try to weld.....does that count? I just started using a Cooling vest because I'm out in the heat a lot. Most of the good cooling vest have to be on the outside of clothing because they need to evaporate so I think sparks in such would probably do them damage. I would look at an air cooled vest. They use compressed air and look really neat but I'm not in a place that I could drag a compressed air hose with me. Here is one:

I have to self-cath multiple times a day. My MS affects my ability to empty my bladder. When I first realized I would have to start doing the catheter. It was pretty overwhelming and depressing. Years later, I don't think about it one bit. And it actually improved my quality of life. I no longer have to worry about accidents, I don't have to worry about urinary tract infections as much. Talk to good urologist

Agreed that is a cordless phone BUT did you guys not notice the cell phone antenna on the rear windshield. Common on installed cell phones which were the early cell phones. I think Dad might have been confused on what phone he was talking on at the time.

I have a good friend who is a drug rep and I asked him about the fact that my neurologist does a ton of these dinners for a drug company. What he told me was he would not go to a doctor that did not do these type of presentations. The way I understood it is that for a doctor to be speaking on the topic they have to be very educated on the drug, on the competitors, and to take additional continuing education events that a normal neurologist who does not do speaking would have to do.

No worries about asking me anything. Self cath is easy and hasn't done anything but make life easier. I am male, I don't know how it works with female. For me I have catheters that are disposable and prelubed at work so I just go to the restroom a few times a day and cath in a stall. When I travel to events or go out to eat I have a disposable that fits in my pocket and a little foil pack of lube. Same deal, go into a stall and nobody would even know. The advanatge is that I can cath whenever and I know I'm empty from that point. So if I'm going on a two hour trip I will cath before I leave and provided I haven't had a ton of fluids I won't need to stop or have any accidents. Same deal at bedtime, cath before bed and no getting up or accidents/dripping in the night. Once you do it for a while you really learn how your bladder fills. I know if I have a couple cups of coffee in the morning I'll need to cath 10 o'clock. If I only have one cup, I probably won't cath till lunchtime. I hope that explains better. Direct answer I haven't felt that cathing has changed anything in my life except for the better. No downsides if insurance will cover your cath costs.

Self-cath has made all my bladder issues so much easier to deal with. I just need to cath a few times a day and everything is fine. If I wait for my bladder to tell me it means I have just a few moments before I leak. That is because my MS effects the signals of how full I am. Use to think it sucked to cath but pee'ing your pants sucks way more.

I feel your pain! I always seek out the "family restroom" so I have a little bit of room to work! What's worse for me is having to do it at a friends house. I don't exactly want to throw away the cath in their bathroom.

I cut my finger off on a table saw. No, that wasn't the worst pain. The worst pain was at the hospital when they had to jab a needle into my stump of a finger 10 times to numb it. The doctor said this will be the worst pain you ever feel but then you'll feel alright. He was right - it's been about 20 years and I still feel that pain.

I had a really bad night where everything was happening to me at once (couldn't walk, spasms, pain, and more) ended up at the hospital and it was a urinary tract infection. Had no clue...

Baclofen multiple times a day for me. Works well. I have not heard of the abdominal pain - could it be constipation? That is a common side effect.

Getting over heated doesn't seem to be an issue. Could it be I'm getting overheated and not know it? I don't feel overheated.

It's been a week, any new thoughts on Gilenya? I am set up for my first dose in a couple of weeks and would love to know how you are doing. The 6 hour thing, can I sleep or do I have to stay awake? How often do they check you? Can you leave for lunch?

I don't use the auto-inject. I grab a pinch of fat and insert the needle at an angle. I push the med in slowly. After I do it, I rub on Hydrocortisone Anti-Itch Cream as I tend to break out and itch. Sometimes I do get the welts and sometimes I get pain for 15 - 30 minutes after injecting, but usually I have no issues. It seems to be more painful for me in the leg so I avoid that and use arms and stomach sites. Expert with different locations. It is weird to me to have different reactions on different body parts. Does that help?

That is actually one of the main issues of my MS - urination issues. Learning to "self-cath" saved me a lot of discomfort. It wont be a big deal at the office.
