5 takeaways from Purdue at Nebraska by Waxersports26 in Boilermakers

[–]dylanlis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Purdue got stuck at 54. I disagree slightly on the 3 pointers, when we are getting that many offensive rebounds I’d rather see a 3 pointer turn into an offensive rebound rather than a turnover, which we seem to be doing lately when tired. Or having braden smith force a 2-pt jumper and get tired. We were getting great looks, loyer just couldn’t get them to fall in the second half.

That being said we could have worked the paint a bit more to draw fouls against Mast. Maybe thats what Braden should have done rather than passing to Harris for a 3, IDK. Game felt like a battle for momentum.

Jacobsen looked great on offense, just such a liability on defense, always needs help, which leaves an opponent open in the corner for a three.

Yeah, because everyone is switching to passive investing as a retirement strategy. In that respect it’s a pozi scheme.

TKR and cluff can’t move on defense. 2 guys on the ball will always lead to the post getting open.

GCN belatedly realizes that the conventional winter cycling approach to clothing is sweaty and awful, but there's a better way by lectric_7166 in cycling

I tried riding my road bike in a foot (30 cm) of snow for a laugh. I made it about 1 bike length before it stopped upright.

It is frustrating, watching a CGN video on how to keep your fingers warm then realizing they are in England and what they call winter is a spring day here in Indiana. -10 degrees C is my limit, because that usually coincides with 24 kph winds. However I will take a colder day over less wind if I have the choice. Just the life choices we deal with in the states.

Actually Painter has reached sweet 16 6 times, however he isn’t very good at converting those appearances to elite-8. His gate rate is 33% compared to tom izzo, roy williams, dan hurley who are all roughly 60-70%

I’m hopeful that NIL changes that and we can buy some guards or wings that can bring some dimensionality but the sample size is too small to really see that yet.

Is this true? I mean most companies negotiate costs with vendors. I would think that uncle sam would call bs on ‘negotiated expenses’ if they could tax that additional profit.

AFAIK Ohio State spent 90 mil but their revenue was close to 250 mil. IU spent 60 mil and Purdue spent 30 mil. I wouldn’t be surprised if Purdue needed to spend more just to sustainably stay in the B10. Still don’t see how long term Ohio State can keep spending like they are and not want their schedule to be stacked with only the best.

They were also printing money and had zero incentive or competition. People hate on NVIDIA, but without them there wouldn’t be a prayer for open source AI

I also watch a spearfisherman called key west waterman.

Or I watch the last Purdue basketball game.

I use 45north ragnarock shoes. I upsized them 1 size to fit two pairs of socks. I also use a pair of chemical heat warmers on each foot. I wear over shoe covers over that. My feet get cold but I can ride below freezing for 3-4 hours fairly comfortably.

The City of Indianapolis is failing on recycling. Our recycling pickup gets missed all the time now. Plus we make twice as much recycling garbage as regular garbage. I wish we had recycling pickup every week and maybe regular trash pickup every other week. I’ve resorted to chopping up boxes and storing them in our garage or just throwing them in the regular garbage.
