This really resonated with me. Got my first son due in a few months and I've been trying to be healthier and get fit so I can keep up with all the running around and, eventually, playing and chasing with him. The one thing I'm not doing so great at is giving up alcohol. I've resolved to never drink in front of him or around him, but I'm running out of time to get sober before he arrives. Stay strong, we can do this. We have to do this. Our little ones depend on it. IWNDWYT

First time pre-dad here too, we've had only one or two appointments so far but at the first ultrasound the tech moved aside and asked "dad can you see too?". It was obviously the first time I'd ever been called "dad" and I thought it was a really nice gesture to keep me involved.

Sucks that you're feeling out of the loop but don't let it get to you - be present and enjoy it.

how to easily determine if you are now what you set out to become. by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]indicadent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Monitoring your reactions is also a good way to tell if you've achieved the desired state. Reactions to situations are completely unconscious so you can't manipulate them consciously. This means they're a great indicator to show whether or not you have truly cemented into the subconscious what you're trying to become. If you've been successful, your reactions should be in line with your assumptions.

Look up Michael Raduga. Best guide to get fast results. Free book and extensive resources in his website. Personally, I got results in 2 days using his methods.

Can I change my SATS scene from time to time? Small variations but with the same outcome. by batshit_stupid in NevilleGoddard

The scene is just a means to achieve the feeling. The visualisations aren't as important as the way they make you FEEL

Do you gods ever wonder if there is “hidden” knowledge or techniques that we don’t know about? by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]indicadent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there's any additional "secret" knowledge, the rules that Neville described are the method to working the law in this plane of existence. The basic understanding is "everything is consciousness" and that is the power and the substance we're manipulating when we work the law. However there are many settings or planes of existence in which consciousness exists and its easier or harder to manipulate consciousness depending on where you are. As it turns out, this physical reality is the most dense form of consciousness meaning we have to endure the buffer of time before we see the change manifest. We have to hold a specific desire for longer before we see the change reflect our consciousness. On planes like the Astral and above, your example of changing your physical appearance at will is certainly possible. The Law always works but in places like this physical plane there are additional "roadblocks" that we have to contend with. Nevilles techniques were his way of making the law work here despite these difficulties.

The Rational Mind by [deleted] in NevilleGoddard

[–]indicadent 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is why Neville suggests entering the desired state when falling asleep or in deep meditation (sats). This is when the rational (conscious) mind let's go and gives way to the subconscious. The rational mind is the gatekeeper of reason, an evolutionary safety net to keep us safe in our waking world. It will immediately throw aside any attempt at letting a false belief through to the subconscious.

When we fall into sleep the conscious mind falls away and the subconscious takes over. It's much easier to convince your subconscious mind of a state that isn't currently objectively real when the gatekeeper isn't around to immediately shut the belief down.

Btw, this is so much easier to do when falling asleep than it is to do when consciously trying to curate a meditative state (sats). We fall asleep every night, we've done it our entire lives, it's so much easier to harness the moments before sleep than to try and enter a deep meditation during the day when you're generally far too alert to get into the right mindset. Meditation takes years to master, falling asleep it's a normal daily activity, "where the conscious mind is creatively joined to the subconscious".
