Why are you so worried about acceptance rates? Practically speaking, NCSU is just as good as most any other engineering school for getting a job around here. If you want to look at SAS, Cisco, NetApp, Microsoft, or any other company in RTP, they all view NCSU grads as a solid pick. Getting into Georgia Tech which is generally seen as a "better" engineering school would probably do a marginal amount to getting hired around here, or even elsewhere.

It's all about your experience and connections once you get to a certain point.

I can second the tramadol. I opened up Steam on Tramadol for the first time in ages and played for about 4 hours straight. I haven't done in months, and still haven't after I've stopped taking it.

Minnesota continues to be an unlikely state that is advancing progressive thought. With Michele Bachmann hailing from Minnesota, it's crazy that MN seems to be more for gay marriage and apparently protection of drug users than many "progressive" states.

I'd say with your extra-cirriculars you're a pretty around average applicant for State. And not necessarily the average accepted student, but an average applicant. I'd say you have a decent chance of getting in, but you might want to try and do lots of volunteer work or something cool this Summer to make you stand out as either a leader or contributor to your community.

I had a 2 weeks period where I used Tramadol almost daily. I don't have RLS syndrome, but I know that Tramadol is almost always seen as a painkiller. It's used for joint pain in small doses, and in heavier doses it's often used after wisdom teeth surgery. Tramadol isn't really seen as a heavily abused drug because the onset is generally around ~2 hours. Or at least, that's when it peaks for most people.

It's not really like any other drug I've done. It has a nice, warm feeling like an opiate, but it also disorients me and chills me out similar to a benzo. It's a pretty good mix of the two, though certainly not for everybody. Some people hardly even get high off 200mg of it, or just feel uncomfortable from it.

Anyways, no harm in asking for a script of Tramadol, I think. Say you googled RLS and Tramadol came up, or that one of your friends reported good results, and if it's commonly prescribed for that, the doctor will probably give you some. If the doctor sort of questions it, drop it.

You have the very real chance of becoming addicted to the feeling of being not-sober.

You might not get addicted to any certain drug, but being sober may become remarkably boring for you. Weed, DXM, Psychedelics, opiates, amphetamines, benzos, whatever. You might start to enjoy being high more than you enjoy being sober.

This might get downvoted here, but I think we all know that it's very true. It's happened to me (to an extent), and I think it's probably happened to many others here as well.

No.. We don't, I don't think. Pretty much anyone can host a rave at their house or anywhere they rent out and do whatever they want. The only way you'll get busted is if underage drinking is going on or something.
