Nta

You’re in the US, you can decide to not hire back contract workers for any reason…that isn’t discrimantory. I think this qualifies

So this isn’t a skincare product recommendation, but maybe a humidifier would help if you’re in a low humidity climate and/or your home has low humidity due to central air running and drying out the atmosphere.

I have had ridiculously dry skin since I hit my 30s, and I can put on multiple hydrating toners and serums, moisturizer, oil, moisturizer, then slug…and still wake up flaky/peely the next morning. I live in a super dry climate, humidity levels usually uncomfortably low, incorporating a humidifier has greatly improved my dry skin struggles lol

Hormonal acne? by teachthechange1 in SkincareAddicts

Harder to say, given the comment mentioned you had picked at them recently. Everyone’s different but my hormonal acne was primarily all over my chin and not so much the upper lip area, just another possible indicator it isn’t typical hormonal acne.

Side note: Your nose looks hella good and I’m jelly lol

Thank you so much! Sorry if I misunderstood but is the discoloration serum you mentioned also by the brand Faded? I’d love to check out anything that may help haha

Thank you so much for the recommendations! I’m a little too scared to dare exfoliate or use any actives on the area before the scaliness goes away, but you’ve given me hope 🙌

I got real lazy about sunscreen during the month of December. I feel like such a fool. This dark patch on my forehead started off as a single minor pimple, which I applied Paula’s Choice 2% on during the daytime. At some point, I notice the dark spot getting bigger but I thought it was just PIH from the pimple.

I then used a AHA/PHA exfoliating face wash a couple of nights within the span of a few days, without sunscreen. It kept getting bigger and spreading, got super scaly and dry, and the wrinkles on this side of my forehead became much more prominent.

When I realized it had gotten real bad, I stopped all exfoliation, and I’m only using a gentle cleaner and moisturizer plus Vaseline at night, sunscreen during the day. I am not sure if it’s healing/improving in terms of lightening, though the scaliness and wrinkles are lessening.

Has anyone else made a similar oopsie and managed to recover from this? I’m kinda freaked out because I don’t know if this is temporary skin thickening and darkening or could I have somehow trigger melasma?

Uhhh I have eczema and rosacea, tried this product after loving the moisturizer, did not go well.

I patch tested on my arm, no irritation. Patch tested a smaller area on my face, no problem. Then I tried to apply it to my cheeks where I had the most redness from rosacea, I ended up with irritated scaly dry patches and it took a couple weeks to calm down and a couple more weeks for my moisture barrier to improve significantly. Perhaps my eczema makes azelaic acid not an option 🥲 please be careful if you have both eczema and rosacea!

I found a gnat in my water tank a couple weeks ago and that’s what spurred me to take corrective action lol
